Grande Burrito — Restaurant in Toronto

I give the place an overall rating of 4.5/10. I don’t usually write reviews but this place inclined me to take the first step. We were really craving some tacos but I guess this was not the best place but we just want to try it out cause it just opened. We were feeling like trying the whole works so we got the Halibut, Shrimp and Steak tacos. The halibut was good, the batter was nice and you can actually taste it in the taco but the other two had left much to be desired. The beef had no flavour and was cold. It needed a lot more seasonings to actually taste like it was part of the taco or even steak. I couldn’t even tell whether it was the steak or the ground beef. But it was nothing compared to the shrimp. oh man where do I begin. It didn’t taste like shrimp, maybe something else but it was unseasoned, unflavoured and completely absent. Felt like I was paying for lettuce cause thats all I tasted. The cherry on top was the “Chorrus” as written on website. It was frozen and they didn’t even make it at the store. I don’t know if my expectations were too high but just don’t. DONT. The staff didn’t have any glasses to give us water and just an overall interesting staff experience. Tell me why If I live in Canada which holds 20% of the fresh water in the world, why is that so hard to ask for. It’s very minimum of what you can do to the customer who pays up to 15 dollars for 3 tacos. I changed my rating to 4/10 after writing...

Overall service and atmosphere was excellent but the most important thing was the food. I got a to go order and live only 5 minutes away and the food was not hot or even lukewarm it was straight up cold. Call me crazy but I like my food piping hot to the point where I have to wait a few minutes for it too cool down which is what i thought would happen in the 5 minutes it took to get home...I ordered a Grande steak burrito with everything on it and 2 chicken taco's both proteins were cold. I will give them this, the portion sizes are nice BUT the overall flavor was pretty bland didn't taste any seasonings luckily the sauces helped. This is the my 2nd visit to Grande Burrito with a horrible 1st experience and after this time I don't think it's worth the money to go back. It’s the best burrito I ever had. I was worried initially about the quality and quantity since it was my first time ordering from there and I was ordering for my coworkers too (for 19 people).After having the food i realized that i made the right choice😍 the service by SAFE was above and beyond 😃 he was kind enough to follow up about the food, packing and everything. And mainly he was worried about the food temperature. I haven’t seen such a dedicated person ☺️ And the packing, it was perfect 👌🏼 they tried to maintain the food temperature and the food was so delicious. Thankyou team GrandeBurrito for making our day.
