8/07/2023- I am updating my review from 2 weeks ago since you just responded with lies. Thanks for the reply you posted. In your response to my original review you stated that the young lady was new (that's understandable), but then you lied and said I was NOT charged, which is an insult. I was charged and have the receipt to prove it. So pls don't lie in public. Also, my complaint was not about being charged, my complaint was about your poor customer service and that quesadilla CAN have refried beans in it. A quesadilla is supposed to have 2 textures in 1: crunchy but also soft. As a Mexican food place, you should know this. Either way, I don't recommend this place. But that's just MY review based on my experienceS with your location.
July 2023 To the Mgr or owner; pls train your staff to be friendlier...they're not. I've been to this location twice in the last month. Both times I asked for a Quesadilla with refried beans in it. The first time the manager told me that they don't do that. That was a surprise to me, bc as a Latina, I know that Quesadillas can be served with refried beans (which is why their competitors do it and have it listed as an option without charge-but these guys charge). The mgr did it in the end (thank u). The 2nd time around, the girl who served me did such a POOR job with customer service that this the reason why I'm giving them a 1 star. I had to repeat my entire order to her bc she was distracted the 1st time (ok, np). The when I asked her for refried beans she said "we don't do that here." I told her "Pls do it and charge me for it" then she repeated "we can't. We don't do that." And that annoyed me, so I replied "Wdym? Your manager has done it for me. I'm asking you to charge me for it." Then she went and talked about it w another staff, which gave her the green light. She comes back and put some on the Quesadilla as if she was buttering a toast with as little butter as possible (best way to explain it). At this point, due to her facial expressions of lack of friendliness, I was about to walk out but did't want to be rude. As a foodie, I must say this was the poorest experience for me as a patron. Not sure if i was the "unlucky" one after reading some of these reviews. Never again am I buying from them. I'd rather spend my cash at Burrito Boyz accross the street, or Fat B*stard or Mucho Burrito or...
Read moreOrdered two Bean & Cheese burritos, 1 Cheese Quesailda and 2 Churros. Total of $50.58 before tip.
The staff was friendly and eager to help, but the price discrepancy between their TV menu and their Point of Sales system was annoying. The TV said Cheese Quesadilla was $11.49 but the bill said $12.49. When asked the cashier about the discrepancy, she herself seemed a little lost and confused on the discrepancy, after inquiring with the manager she said that the menu had an old price, but did not offer to refund the difference since it was their mistake. Upon requesting a refund since the price mistake was theirs, she gave me $1, but not the $0.13 taxes that go with it. She insisted that there was no tax on the item. When I went back and checked the bill, everything had taxes on it. So I went back and asked for clarification, wasn't sure if there was supposed to be tax and she didn't know it, or there wasn't supposed to be tax and she accidentally charged me for it. When she finally admitted that there was tax on the whole bill, her response was "So do you want the $0.15 back?" I said yes. And upon clarification with the manager, who agreed that the total should be $1.15 including taxes, she provided me the money.
Alas the next part wasn't caught until after leaving the location. The Bean & Cheese burritos were $12.49 on the TV but the bill said $13.99. That's $3 + tax for 2 burritos. I wasn't going to go back in the direction so was hoping that they could just refund the amount to the credit card they used for payment, but on the call I was told that it is impossible that they have made a mistake and that there menu and POS systems matched (the menu was changed after I pointed out the original mistake).
The two churros was $4.20 but the cashier automatically made it a combo without asking or informing and charged more for the item.
The food review: The burritos were dry and devoid of much flavour, the churros were not dipped in cinnamon sugar or anything else, and were not the best quality, not to mention super expensive for their size and quality/ingredients.
TLDR: Check/confirm the prices before paying and maybe ask to take a look at the items/churros before ordering so you know exactly what you...
Read moreIt looks splendid, the premise, everyone loves a new burrito place, or trying something different. I got the Chicken Steak Grande right. So im expecting what i already know of every burrito place, either they short you on the meat, or they do you justice. Now understand this is my first time, so they probably saw me as someone who they can save money on. First, they gave me a whopping amount of rice, like I know what they’re doing now, they’re gonna make everything look big and give you quantity but they’ll short you, they kept asking me if I wanted more vegetables but no, I know the game. She tells the guy running the stove or grill or whatever its called that, and he says ask him again, i said sure ill take more pico, and i wanted more guac because the lady shorted me by giving me a single nacho’s worth of guac, but i digress because extra guac is extra 🤣, everyone knows guac is the main thing they’ll short you on. Their technique on shorting you on meat is by spreading it all over the veggies and lathering it in sauce so you dont know how much you get. She literally calculated it, like she saw the dollars in the amount of meat she was giving me. I paid 17 for a chicken salad but extra salad 😂. Obviously I got screwed but i’m definitely not the only one that did. I should’ve gotten a damn burger at Jonny’s Hamburgers. I highlighted the meat portion, which is like a 1/8th of the entire grande bowl, you can clearly see the guac. I didnt even eat this yet, becaus i know the sauces probably cover the taste of boiled chicken and boiled mongolian steak. So I pushed all the meat to one half to show how they finesse you. Don’t go here unless you know the owner lol or you’ll have to haggle your portions like a true latin. Good luck and...
