An amazing place for Hakka noodles and food. At first, I felt a little skeptical to order from this place as there weren’t many reviews and it seemed like it was a newer restaurant. Nonetheless, decided to go ahead and try it out. We ordered through the Uber eats app which sometimes doesn’t have the whole menu of what is shown on the restaurant’s website. We decided to get the chicken Manchurian, The Hakka chow mein noodles, The crispy ginger beef, the egg fried rice and lastly, the corn soup came for free because we ordered over a certain dollar amount. The Hakka chow mein noodles were my favourite and I would 100% get them again. Beware - they are really spicy and if you like spicy, this is definitely the dish to get. The only reason why I love this dish so much was because of the spice levels which added a lot of flavour. The chicken manchurian and the crispy ginger beef definitely complimented the noodles really well. Each of those dishes had their own flavourful taste and would definitely recommend getting them again. I saw a lot of people raving about the chicken corn soup and and now I understand why it was so highly talked about. I could definitely see myself ordering it especially when I’m sick. What made it even better was getting it for free because my bill was over a certain amount. I will definitely order from this restaurant again and I highly recommend everyone to order takeout from this place and...

Was stoked to see this restaurant open in the Roncy neighbourhood just a few minutes from my house. Unfortunately this restaurant is a joke. The first time I ordered there was a long delay and when the order was delivered they got it completely wrong. I ended up walking to the restaurant to return the food. When I walked into the restaurant my sneakers would stick to the floor due to the filth. I definitely would not recommend anyone to dine in. They prepared my food and I walked home. The food was decent but nothing special. I decided to give them another shot and ordered again via DoorDash. I saw via the app that the Dasher was at the restaurant waiting for my order. 20 minutes later the Dasher said they haven’t started preparing the food and it would take another 30-40 minutes. So an order that was supposed to arrive in less than 30 minutes was going to take almost 2 hours. I ended up canceling my order. This place is unreliable and very dirty inside. I doubt they last long in this...

My partner and I were eager to have a meal at Roncesvalles neighbourhood’s new Hakka restaurant, Hakka Wok Hei. There are many good things that can be said and I’ll start with that; the food, it’s delicious. They also serve generous portions by a very kind and charming wait staff. We enjoyed their Vegetable Pakoras to start, which we followed with Hakka Fried Rice, Chilli Chicken and Spicy Green Beans. All were cooked to perfection.

That location has had many restaurants. None lasted long because of the layout. The layout’s problem is magnified by the fact that they seem to depend on take out and delivery, not sit down dining. The result is that the few diners, like us, are forced to listen to a stream of delivery guys chatting and waiting for their orders. This is above the loud rock and roll coming from the kitchen. Did I mention the sterility of the place? So all in all it’s not a pleasant dining experience. Next time we plan on ordering in because we really...

Came here with a few friends to grab an early dinner before catching a film at the Revue. When we first entered there was no one around and honestly thought the place wasn't open yet. One of my friends rang a bell after 30 seconds of waiting, then after the server finally came out to greet and serve us, and everything went smoothly from there. I got a Wonton Noodle Soup with Shrimp and the Thai Basil Fried Rice for myself. The wontons were good, while the type of noodle they used weren't my personal fav and the soup was too salty for my liking. On the other hand, the rice was flavourful and well-seasoned. It did say on the menu that this particular fried rice was spicy, but there was no spice at all. I honestly didn't mind though, since it was delicious. The portion sizes were also huge, I didn't expect to take leftovers home, but that was a nice surprise in today's economy.
