Already planning my next visit! I expected "good". I got "amazing!". I love foods of all ethnicities and love more when fusion is done well. It's not just a take on different ethnicities but it's built into the chef/owner who has worked all over the world- a fact I learned when they lovely owner popped by a couple of times to check in on us.

He also shared that he didn't use butter or cream because in part, you feel better after the meal, which is so true. We ate a lot and felt full but not overly full. The difference quality fresh food, made well, makes.

We ordered a couple of fixed price meals, which is not required to be ordered by all, and the freekeh and tartare. The tartare was so smooth it was like a delicious thick spread, not to mention the fresh flavours.

The bread came out steaming hot literally, with a crunchy crust and soft middle and labneh spread that made you want to lick your knife clean. Not required because the bread was so good but it definitely added to the taste.

The chicken was so juicy and flavourful that we forgot to try some of the sauces including a spicy one that we finally tried that had a good hit but was also packed with flavour.

The short ribs were a dish I didn't want to share - melt in your mouth phenomenal!

The freekeh with the asparagus and brocollini was so fresh, with layers of taste like a good risotto. We all agreed we would order that again as one of our dishes.

The eggplant tarts and I'm going to call them a form of dumpling with lamb and beef were really unique and also exceptional depending on your appreciation for these foods generally.

The service was also superb. The staff were like the owner, friendly and attentive without being overly so. They freshened plates part way through and cleared the crumbs we made devouring the bread.

The place is beautiful and intimate and best of all, we never had to scream at each other to be heard.

As we were celebrating a birthday, they also popped a little candle on the dessert as well.

I couldn't say enough about how fantastic this place is and I've got at least two plans to return as our group goes back and I start to...

From the moment you step into Arbequina, you're embraced by an atmosphere that’s warm, inviting, and rich in cultural charm. Arbequina offers a refreshing, elevated take on Levantine cuisine that feels both authentic and innovative.

What truly sets this restaurant apart is its unwavering commitment to organic, locally sourced ingredients. Every dish reflects not only the rich heritage of the Levant but also a deep respect for sustainability. As per Chef Moeen Abuzaid, the menu changes seasonally, ensuring that everything is fresh, vibrant, and bursting with flavor. You can taste the quality in every bite - from the tender, perfectly spiced meats to the beautifully balanced dishes.

I had the pleasure of trying their chicken two ways - half chicken, and it was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly seasoned, juicy, and slow-roasted to tender perfection - it was bursting with flavor in every bite. The portion was generous, ideal for sharing, and came with sides that complemented the dish beautifully. You could truly taste the quality and care that went into its preparation.

And the desserts - wow. I usually steer clear of sugar, but the chef assured us that the sweetness came purely from natural ingredients, so I had to try. Elegant, not overly sweet, and layered with subtle spices and textures that reflect the restaurant’s Levantine roots.

Chef Moeen Abuzaid has created more than just a restaurant - he has created an experience. His passion shines through in the presentation, the depth of flavor, and the thoughtful details. Even the beverages stand out, with alcohol-free drinks that are complex and satisfying. I tried pomegranate lime and it was top-notch.

The atmosphere is serene and stylish, with design elements that reflect Chef Abuzaid’s Palestinian-Jordanian roots. It’s a place that feels modern while honoring tradition - a rare and beautiful balance.

Whether you’re a fan of Levantine cuisine or just someone who appreciates exceptional food made with care and consciousness, Arbequina is an absolute must-visit. Trust me you won't just have a meal but would...

I’ve been wanting to try this place out since it opened. I was a bit hesitant as the combos did not seem like they would work and the menu didn’t seem like it would be my taste. However the menu is seamless and blends very well. Tried it out for the first time today and it was phenomenal. Everything was hot and fresh. We initially had a small hiccup but this was quickly corrected. The place is kind of small. It is nicely decorated. We ordered the chef prix-fixe. It was quite pricey. It came with a sampler of all the items listed. The bread was super fresh and warm. Out of the appetizers, I enjoyed the salad and falafel. The manti was a mix of lamb and beef which is not really my thing (lamb was strong). However the mains were 10/10. The seabass was delicious. I devoured it. The ribs I was scared off. I hate fat and bones. The ribs were amazing. The meat was tender, falling apart and melted in my mouth. The chicken shish was simple, nice chunks of chicken breast that were well seasoned. The rice was good. I usually don’t eat rice from restaurants and this I cleaned off the plate. The pine nuts were a great addition. (My favourites were the sea bass and ribs). Also there was a lot of fried onions on dishes. I hate onions with a passion (think person who won’t touch a dish if it has visible onions in it). Somehow the onions didn’t have that strong taste and blended in super well (as in I could not taste them and they didn’t overpower the remainder of the dish) For dessert they were both good but I really enjoyed the sticky date dessert with cinnamon ice cream. Didn’t think this would be something I enjoyed. I devoured it. We also got the pomegranate mocktails which were super fresh (a bit on the sweeter side if you were looking for something tangy). Also you can tell the chef is very passionate and cares what he is doing. He quickly corrected an issue. He comes around to all the tables for any feedback! The servers were very attentive as well. I never had to ask them to refill my water. This possibly ranks in my top 3 for taste and experience....
