Updated Review: From 3 stars this location went down to a 1, ZERO if I could!
So after my honest original review below of the issues we faced, I'm guessing head office replied to fill out their feedback form. I don't usually waste my time with such trivial things, but took the time as I am a fan and regular of Harvey's/Swiss Chalet and figured if my feedback can make this location better for other customers, why not, so I did.
Within a few days I received an email (July 11th) I'm guessing from that locations management (see attached screenshot) and I was pleasantly surprised the effort and length this store was willing to go to redeem themselves. I replied right away with the info requested. Two weeks go by and I hear and received nothing, so I contact them again. Over a month later, still no reply and nothing in the mail.
It speaks volumes that this location is all talk and no action, and clearly truly doesn't care about redeeming themselves to customers that had a negative experience at this location.
The let down is bad enough from the excitement of expecting to get something they offered to regain my faith in Harvey's, but what's even worse is that I put in the extra effort to get someone to listen to issues with hope it will be fixed for future customers, but instead, I'm being ignored.
Now my overall feeling about Harvey's is tainted and I've lost respect for this company and will be sharing my experience with everyone, and will be avoiding Harvey's and Swiss Chalet all together, and clearly never going back to this location!

Read moreOrdered a crispy chicken combo, onion rings and a 7-up. 7-up syrup to carbonation ratio was way off, did not taste like 7-up. The order taker replaced it with a Pepsi. No issues. 5/5.
However, I paid full price and I wasn't accepting free food. I don't know why my crispy chicken burger was one of the worst I've ever had. Crispy chicken was stale, dry, and appeared to be sitting on the shelf. Did not taste fresh at all. Half my bun was burnt. They put relish and olives in my chicken burger. No sauces, no ketchup in my order despite me asking for it. -5/5
I regret coming to Harvey's for a crispy chicken sandwich. Located at 853 Milner Ave. I would've been better going to KFC or Chick Fiesta in Scarborough ON.
Once I got home , excited to continue watching episode 4 of Clarkson's Farm only to be hit with the worst possible meal ever.
The meal itself wasn't satisfying and I do NOT ever recommend this place. -5/5 food. The onion rings were like at least a 3/5, the Pepsi was more like 4/5, and I know the ratios are off with the 7-up and Pepsi, but Pepsi did taste a bit better than the 7-UP.
Just look at the sloppy chicken burger assembly, half burnt bun. I really didn't want to go back and talk to the non-English speaking low wage Indian worker trying to make her bread & butter. But, my burger, everything about this order was unacceptable. I'm going to have to grab something else to eat tonight cause of what this place served up.
Please for the love of God, avoid this place! You'll...
Read moreAs a long-time Harvey’s customer, it’s disheartening to say that the quality of both the food and service has plummeted in recent years.
The burgers are consistently served cold, as if they’ve been sitting out for too long. The lettuce is a whole other issue — more often than not, it’s soggy and limp, a far cry from the fresh, crispy greens you’d expect. These quality issues have become so consistent that it feels like no one in the kitchen cares anymore.
However, the food isn’t even the worst part. The staff is mostly tolerable. But the real issue is the manager, who quite frankly, should not hold that title. Her customer service skills are nonexistent, and she seems to have no grasp of Harvey’s offerings.
When I asked her about a promotion that was advertised, she rudely claimed it didn’t. Only after I showed her the promotion on my phone did she begin to explain, in a condescending tone, that I would need to create an account then Harvey’s would email me a code — even though I’ve been a Harvey’s member for over a year!” Throughout this, she raised her voice and treated me as if I were at fault for asking a simple question. Her unprofessionalism and lack of knowledge made the experience unbearable.
To sum it up: the food is subpar, and the service, particularly from the management, is an absolute disaster. Save your time, money, and sanity —...
