Hero Certified Burgers — Restaurant in Toronto

I visited Hero Burger recently (Apr 18,2024 at 1:00pm) with the simple request of purchasing an ice cream cone for $2.95. To my surprise, I was informed that they were out of cones and offered to put the ice cream in a cup instead. However, to my dismay, they charged me for a sundae at $5.95, significantly more than the original cone price.

When I questioned this, the staff explained that they were out of cones and could only provide the ice cream in a cup, like the sundaes but without the sundae toppings. While I understood the situation, I found it unreasonable to be charged for a more expensive item that I did not intend to order in the first place. It would have been more reasonable for them to charge me the cone price, considering the circumstance.

Overall, I left Hero Burger feeling disappointed and taken advantage of. I hope they reconsider their pricing policies in similar situations to ensure fair treatment of...

Worst hero burgers I have been to by far. Service is so slow even though there was no one ahead of me. The lady was asking me for my order but she seemed to zone out as I was talking that I had to repeat it three times. I ordered then she literally disappeared and I stood there waiting for 20min for someone to pass on my food that was sitting on the pass-through window. Then the cook noticed and came out from the kitchen to package it up. The fries were so oily and soggy, and the soul burger had NON of the toppings I had ordered, matter of fact it only had lettuce and pickles on it. I am actually surprised that a hospital serves such bad food, but oh well now I know...

Not impressed. The service slow and not really friendly. It's the last hour until it closes and they weren't even busy. I got an eye roll with my order. I ordered their signature burger cuz I couldn't be bothered with figuring out what toppings I wanted but I also felt rushed with the eyeroll. The burger came with cheese which was rubbery and over powered the meat. Everything else was off. Smell, texture, taste and look. I ended up enjoying the fries more.
