This is a mom and Pop style restaurant, a family owned business I believe. It is under new management and they have changed up the menu somewhat from before.
We went to try out their $10 Monday night fish and chips special. We ordered one order of fish and chips, one Greek salad and one penne pasta, vegetarian style.
Fish and chips - It was one good portion of fish with a substantial Fries and coleslaw. The batter was not heavy and was seasoned nicely. The fish was cooked nicely and was a nice light white fish. I’m not sure exactly what type of fish it was. The fries were hot and crispy and tasted great and the coleslaw was really good, a nice fresh flavour with a little bit of dill.
Greek salad - I was really happy with this salad. It was not overdressed, it was fresh, the amount of feta was perfect, and it was presented very nicely. The portion was decent, I could’ve used maybe a little more but for two people it was more than enough.
Penne Primavera - this was a vegetable pasta with tomato sauce. The pasta was cooked nicely and the sauce and vegetables. Accompany need it nicely as well. The flavour was good and fresh not too rich. I would’ve liked to have seen just a little bit more vegetable, but I enjoyed this dish.
We also ordered one beer and one pop. Our total bill with tax and 20% tip was under $60. I thought that was very reasonable for what we got and we left very satisfied And comfortable.
With the original owners, they were known for their pizza and for their Slovakia dinners. This will be our next trip to see how it compares.
We have enjoyed their all day breakfast as well, capturing the earlybird special. It was eggs, protein, potato, and toast with a few pieces of fruit garnish. Everything was cooked really well and tasted great. For $8, I thought the value was Really good.
The lady who served us I believe is the regular server, she is very nice and helpful and attentive without being overbearing. I thought she did a great job. The restaurant itself is clean and spaced out nicely and has that old-school mom and Pop feel.
The restaurant is situated in a small plaza where there are other places to eat as well and parking is fairly easy.
If you were out for a drive looking for somewhere different to eat, I would highly recommend this place for some really good...

When a group of us decided to have lunch there, we were met with a delightful ambiance that instantly made us feel at home.
Upon entering, I was greeted with a friendly smile that set the tone for the entire meal. The server, exceptionally attentive and genuinely warm, made us feel welcome and cared for. Her conversational nature truly enhanced our experience, making it seem less like dining out and more like spending time with family.

Read moreIll begin with the good - the atmosphere itself was beautiful, and very welcoming. Very nice decorative elements. However, the lack of other diners was a red flag from the beginning. After all though, it was a Monday night when I visited with my two friends. Honestly, Im embarrassed to have recommended trying this place out.
Now onto the bad... I had only got an appetizer, and decided I would eat nothing else beyond that. I ordered the calamari, which was very obviously frozen, and possibly outdated. It did not taste or seem fresh at all. I told the staff and they took my pop off of the bill, I am appreciative of that.
My one friend got the liver and mashed potatoes, and when served, her meal was cold, so Chef Mike (the microwave) was used to reheat the food.
My other friend got the steak with mashed potatoes and requested it to be medium. It was served well done and she felt the texture of the steak was low quality, and possibly also made from frozen.
Finally, the staff were interesting. They seemed afraid of us, which was odd, and just seemed anxious. When we expressed concerns to the 2 waitresses who served us, they said it was their first day/first day back after being away for some time. Just felt odd.
We were very friendly about our complaints, no disrespect just honest discontentment was expressed.
Although the prices were cheap, I wouldn't go back for such low-quality food. I expect better standards from a locally-owned small business. You're competing with fast food, which everyone knows is gross, and also everything is made from frozen.
If you want to run a successful local restaurant, you have to source fresh, good ingredients. Reducing your menu would make people feel less overwhelmed, and keep that restaurant packed. I hope one day I will return to a higher quality level of...
