Oh where do I begin! The barista girl seemed focused on her phone, filming and taking photos of herself and showing off her nails to the other workers rather than serving my order and kept giving me attitude when I asked her what was available. Also why are the staff not wearing hair nets? This is a genuine concern, as what happens if hair falls into a customer's coffee? Not to overreact but as someone who had lice before, this is not very hygienic at all, and if hair falls out, it could contaminate a customer's order, and someone could seriously get sick or worse. As far as I was last aware, health regulations mandate that baristas should be wearing hair nets. I mean come on, if you are going to run an ice cream shop, you need to at the very least have some hygiene and polite civilized behavior to your customers.
You know, this spot used to be my favorite ice cream shop in the city when I lived in Toronto. The baristas were friendly, I would always tip, and the place was more hygienic. Its horrible that its fallen off since. I would not even think about tipping now, especially to someone with such attitude and lack of care for their own job, who was also so obviously intoxicated.
Completely unprofessional, felt like a different shop completely compared to...
Read moreThe ice cream flavors were good, although it was melting a bit after seconds. We expected more coconut in this flavor. However, what made me give it less stars was a rude attitude of a server. My husband has a brain injury (from cancer) and has some cognitive problems at the moment, and he asked her to try a flavor first to decide to order it or not, she wasn’t too friendly already. Then, he tried to give the spoon back to her (so she could discard it) and she denied and said that he should trash it himself - which is totally okay. But then she commented to the other server about it and they laughed right in front of me, like I wasn’t there or understanding English. It was too hurtful for me to be there and see those bullies teenager girls laughing at my sick husband, and it was my birthday.
I complained about it (after my husband got out of there) to the cashier and she offered something for free but I denied it. I just want to leave a message for you guys: Please, if you will be rude don’t do this in front of the customers! Especially if you don’t know the problem with a person who does something you think is weird. I...
Read moreI just bought a hot chocolate regular which it was pretty small by the way. I ask to have it to go as the store was really busy . Then they gave me half way empty cup. It seems like someone else already drank it. I thought it was a mistake and I thought because ethical principles and I was not going to be ripped offer over a hot chocolate specially by a busy store with in such prestigious location . Well , I came back to the store and I approached the lady who gave me the hot chocolate and in a rude way she told me "it came like this " sorry . But because of the foam is almost half cup only. I couldn't believe they were not taking responsibility and even because it was 6$ hot chocolate they would have the decency of at least fill the cup . Terrible customer service ... it doesn't worth the cost . I prefer 1000 times aroma cafe because of customer service first at all and because of ethic values and transparency. This store does not represent our values... I definitely will not spent anything there anymore ... is a...
