I don't do reviews unless the product is very good or very bad because anything in between doesn't count. I had a review for these guys before because the pizza was among the best that I had. After the third trip I started to notice that there was less and less cheese on it. So I took down the review and avoided the place. Today I was passing by and I said let me try them again. I noticed they have increased the price on their walk-in special by 50%. I figured that maybe that will solved the lack of cheese problem but seeing as the place was nearly empty at 6pm, on a Sunday, I figured that i better go with a slice. Thank God I did because it no longer tastes like pizza. The cheese has the taste and texture as if it were spread from a bottle with a spoon, like cheese whiz. I ate half the slice and then I threw the other half, which you see photographed, away. I don't know if that stuff can be legally classified as cheese. All the pizza shops on that stretch of the road are skimming on ingredients and these guys may feel that is the only way to compete and have even one upped the competition with fake cheese to get the competitive advantage. Which is a shame because unlike the competition, which are working under a franchise, these people are working under their name and their honor or lack thereof and for that I'll never return.

Pizza is generally good. Service is not attentive, in that I specifically asked that the driver not ring the bell and instead knock on the front window where I was sitting. They said no, but will make a note to call. Guy arrived, rang the doorbell, woke my son, and was quick to point out no note was on the bill (Pizza Pizza does better than this). Also specifically asked if they make the gnocchi in-house or if it's pre-made / frozen. Perhaps it is made in-house, but it is the most dense, chewy, undercooked, and nasty gnocchi we've ever had. It tastes like raw flour and added $23 to the bill. Note that I am writing this within minutes of delivery. We also had some sort of yellow paper in the gnocchi after trying it. It is in the bottom left of the first pic. We have ordered pizza from here since the COVID lockdowns, but never again will we order gnocchi (or any other of their overpriced pastas). To their credit, when I called, they immediately offered a credit for the gnocchi towards our next order. I've had pizza joints reneg on this in the past, but I want to trust this place.

This place was recommended by a friend who frequents this place, and her grandparents have been coming here since ages, so basically this place is ancient and is known among the Italian circles. I dragged another couple with us and expected food to live up to the hype I’d created. We tried the basics, the classic Margherita, Spaghetti pasta, a couple of Peronis (I’m a beer guy but not a fan of Peroni) and ended it with the dessert, the all consuming Tartuffo. The pizza and the pasta were strictly ok, maybe people love it with meat and that’s why all the hype. Hard luck as we were a vegetarian group. Again, I have had the Tartuffo before at another place which was fresh, however this one was right out of the readymade packets you get in Italian stores. Our friends liked it for the novelty but we could tell the difference, a world of difference.

Not that IL Paesano's needs a review, she has been around longer then i have been alive, and i am no longer even a youth. It is a pizzeria, where in contrary to commercial pizza stores, they also sell a variety of classic Italian food. IL Paesano's makes there own dough and sauces right there in the store, along with home made pasta's like ravioli and lasagna. This real Italian food is made from scratch, with quality ingredients like real cheese, eggs, milk, flour. A mama and papa pizzeria making food they still feed to their own children. With an in house dining bar, you can enjoy your Italian food with wine. Tonight I got the basic 14" peperoni walk-in special and a veal cutlet sandwich with hot peppers and mushrooms. under $20. the sandwich is about 9 or ten inches long, crunchy on the outside, with soft warm bread on the inside with the taste classic Italian taste of marinara and cheese. The added hot peppers and mushrooms taste together reminds me of making pizza at home with my family as a kid. IL Paesano's is different from commercial Pizza Stores, it is a Pizzeria, and you can sample a slice for three dollars. I would recommend the homemade from scratch never hardened ravioli. You cannot buy homemade in a grocery store. I am Stuart Ryan King and i give real reviews on restaurants across...

Lived in this area all my life, 1969. Been going here forever even before they renovated from a diner setting to a fancy sit down resaraunt in the mid-late 80's. I still remember the jukebox on the north wall. Once they renovated the premises to a sit down restarant and tried to franchize into Mississauga area the quality dropped. Not to say quality of food but getting orders correct. I holy try to support all my local buisneses, but over the past 10 years orders are constantly incorrect. Maybe because all my orders are take out orders so they think who cares, but with the current pandemic thats been going on thats all there is. Since im local i ordered again tonight, sure enough once again i got home it was wrong. Went back and they agreeded it was wrong , said to remake but why? They were not too bust to take my order, since i was the only one there , in a closed down sit down restaraunt . I asked if ownership has changed hands which could explain why the degrade , but guy (who i've never seen before, remember been going there since 70's) says its the same??? I just wish ownership reads this thinks about what people are saying. I really do enjoy the food , but only if they...
