Jakylynne's Catering and Take-out — Restaurant in Toronto

July 5th, 2025, I was craving for a classic filipino breakfast (tapsilog to be specific) so I decided to call Jakyline's to order for pick up. It took 4-5 times of calling before they answered the phone. When they finally answered it around 9:30 - 9:40 am it was a lady who answered it. I politely ask if i can order breakfast for pick up, she aggressively asked me "what do you want?" ( at this point i felt that there's something off about the lady) I answered "can I have TAPSILOG?", she stopped talking to me and ask the kitchen if they still have the food that I wanted. She returned to me and said "we don't have it anymore", I said "Okay, what other SILOG (breakfast food) do you guys have?" She answered "WALA! WALA! WALA! WALA!" (meaning NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING) in a really aggressive way, and it made me loose my appetite and decided not to order anything because she was...

Okay I am a very picker eater pero I Really really love Jacklyn’s food. Her food is authentic tagalog and truly similar to my Late Mom’s cooking when she was alive. When I crave Filipino food I only go here! Jacklyns’ food is a new gem; better than Remelys’, FV, and Barrios’. Plus she has plenty of variety and never does she sell day old or “recycled” food unlike other Filipino take out places. Hers is always always Fresh and never does she use meat from a prior Ulam.

Jacklyn you are truly a great cook and hardworking plus your Son who serves food is a gentlemen, polite and friendly.

The chicken curry it to die for better than Carribean.

This is my go to Filipino store. Food is always fresh and not reheated. I know because every time i go at 6pm almost all of their dishes are gone. My faves are dinuguan, kare kare and bbq chicken and pork. Also they sell homemade fresh pork rind chicharon..one of the best i have tasted. This is my go to take out food every Friday afternoon.

Edit: They move to a new location, we still order from them. Excellent customer service from Kyle. Love their sweet and sour tilapia served...
