Not sure why there’s so many positive reviews but I won’t be ordering from this place again. First and last time. I ordered a LARGE RARE beef pha and this is what I got for the price of $20 as you can see the beef is not rare and it’s all chopped to pieces. Also, every single pha restaurant I’ve been to the large is a big portion, enough for 2 people. This portion, their “large” is more like a medium. it’s a half portion size. I had high expectations due to the reviews but they’ve proven to be untrue. The portion is very small in comparison to other pha places. The broth is bland and the beef is super rubbery and dry. Probably the worst pha I’ve had. I also ordered an extra siracha sauce for 50 cents and got a tiny container about a quarter full of hot sauce. I also ordered at 12pm when they first open so I don’t understand why this was so bad. Portion sizes are small for the price you pay, higher prices than other pha places in the area - bland broth, dry rubbery meat and very little veggies were given in the soup. I suggest to management to either increase your portion sizes or decrease your prices by a few $

The pictures don’t even begin to capture how delicious everything was!! My friends and I were so excited to dig in that we forgot to take pictures in the beginning. The Phnom Penh noodle soup was absolutely delicious and so warm and comforting on a cold winter day. The chunks of meat definitely filled me up and I loved how tender they were. The rice noodle also goes sooo well with the soup so I would definitely recommend getting the soup + rice noodle combo! I am also a big fan of their mango salad because of how refreshingly tangy and sweet it was. My friends were also raving about it. Last but not least, the Madame Saigon street platter had such a yummy assortment of appetizers to eat with the lettuce wraps or just on their own. My faves were the grilled sausage and spring roll! The flavours were on point and they were cooked to perfection. I can’t say enough about how amazing the food was at Madame Saigon so I’ll definitely be bringing more friends back to try more of the menu!!

The portion of bun was huge and worth the price. I got the bun with grilled pork, grilled sausage, and spring roll. I really liked the pork, but the sausage wasn't what I was expecting. I was expecting the red sausage (nem nuong) but what came instead was like spam. Also the spring roll had a mushy/herby filling that I wasn't a big fan of, but I liked how crispy it was. The fish sauce they gave wasn't enough for how big the bowl of noodles was so I'd recommend getting more of that. Overall, the food was 3/5 but the service was really good. The viet iced coffee that my friend ordered was okay, according to her, and she's had better at other places. However I thought it was cool how they presented it like drip coffee and then the waitress comes by and mixes it for you. The interior was pretty and clean, but it was SO HOT inside.. not sure if it's just always like that or due to the hot weather that day (Aug 29) but I was sweating in there

The Cha Gio Spring Rolls were okay, but they weren’t as crunchy as we expected.

The House Special Pho was average, with broth that could have been richer and more flavorful.

The Tom Yum Pho was kind of a letdown. While the noodles were good, the beef slices were too thin and there wasn't much of it. There were no shrimp or mushrooms like you usually get in regular Tom Yum

The Iced Vietnamese Coffees were not bad ... we liked that they served them in a GLASS rather than the cheap plastic cups you would get from other spots.

The place felt too hot inside, as if the air conditioning was set to Eco-mode during the summer, making it a bit uncomfortable.

Unfortunately, we felt they overcharged for the Tom Yum soup—an extra $4.00 when we asked for more [ At other places like Pho Anh Vu Don Mills, we received extra Pho broth for FREE ]. Even one of the servers acknowledged that the additional charge was too much.

  • Overall, we probably won't be coming back. There are currently many NEW Vietnamese establishments in Scarborough, North York, and Markham that offer better quality and a more enjoyable...

I tried the restaurant mainly due to the high reviews so I had high expectations.

I had the House Special Pho large, which was $15 and change. I have to be honest, I'm used to large Pho sizes being enough to be split between two people and this large really felt like a medium portion. The bowl was big but it was more soup than food. The soup was at least very hot, but oily. Overall, it was average pho. I've had better tasting and better portion at other restaurants.

We were seated on the left side of the restaurant facing and I had to take off stars for atmosphere because the left side is a mess. They have stacks of boxes, used empty fridge, boarded up windows etc. They tried to kind of hide all that behind a curtain but it's still visible and not nice to look at when you're in a restaurant. There were also two fruit flies flying around our section which tells me that the restaurant could be better.

Service was okay. I was seated promptly, handed a menu and the food came out around 6 mins later. The next time the waiter checked in on me was for the bill.

A last note, the parking there isn't free...
