Service: 1/5
It wasnt even busy but the server seemed to be in such a rush to get out of our hair so she could continue to watch television shows on the TV. The server didn't ask anything she literally just came up when she thought we were ready to order. I didn't even open up my menu and she asked me if I was ready. When I said no she just hovered, looked unimpressed then stormed off impatiently because the menu was a bit too difficult to figure out. We asked the server if the Tteokbukki could have ramen noodles added to it but she shut us down without asking the chef. She asked if we were done with the side dishes and I requested for more potatoes. She picked up the dish, still with 2 pieces of potatoes on the dish and hovered it over my plate, not saying anything. Just expecting me to brush the potatoes off with my chopsticks. We asked for water and before we could ask for ice she stormed off to the service station to grab a jug. We then asked for cups with ice and she only gave us cups. We asked again--for the third time-- for ice and she said "the water is cold". We then had to sternly state that we wanted ice. All the while he body language and facial expressed showed her lack of wanting to serve us. The other table however, who was chinese speaking, she treated with extra care. But she brought the food to us. Hence the 1 star for bare minimum service.
Food 1/5
The meat in the stew was very old and super chewy. There was way too much glass noodles that there wasn't even enough broth to eat alongside the rice that my meat stew came with. The bulgogi was very bland and there was only a sweet taste to it, if any. There was also a whole lot of glass noodles in the dish though it's supposed to be eaten with rice. Only the kimchi side dish which was more like than not store-bought, was the only thing i was comfortable eating of all the side dishes. I only recommend the kimchi. Not at all an authentic Korean...
Read moreUpon entering, the restaurant is bright, clean, and nicely decorated. The server promptly sat us at a booth and left menus, it was empty besides one other table.
While looking over the menu, the server stood next to our table, watched, and impatiently kept asking if we were ready to order. After ordering, we were given sides, which was the only decent thing on tonight’s menu. They offer a variety of sides ; potatoes, jap chae, bean sprout, Kim chi, peanuts, seaweed, Korean pancake.
Shortly after, the power went out!! We could hear commotion from the kitchen, the server kept walking back and forth and did not inform us what was going on.. we were literally left in the dark!
Somehow they managed to bring out our food items, I ordered a rice and bulgogi and my friend had a pork stew; I’m very curious how they managed to finish our dishes with no power.. Both dishes were below par, the bulgogi was 30% beef and 70% onions, glass noodles, peppers and carrots. The beef was over cooked or old, it had a very rough texture. The seasoning was next to none, I thought bulgogi was made with a sauce?
Once we got our food, the server was no where in sight! After waiting around for 10 minutes, I had to go physically look for the server.
I asked the server for 2 ice waters, she proceeds by dropping off a large water bottle on the table and walks off.. I asked for 2 cups, again with ICE. She drops off 2 cups and walks off. Again, I asked for ice. The server states “the water is cold”.. she did eventually bring me ice, but I really shouldn’t have had to ask 4 times.
The food was disappointing, the service was horrible, the power even went out !! I gave this place 2 stars because of their side dishes and decor.
Overall, I would not recommend this place and will most likely not...

Me and a few friends decided to come here one day since we heard that the fried chicken was good. I'm glad to say that we certainly were not disappointed. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy, with many different flavours available to order. We had a nice selection of flavours as well as our own different dishes.
I had the Jab Chae Rice, it was mostly pretty good with a few odd tasting ingredients; Albeit, I just tossed the few things I didn't like to the side. The dish was pretty decent otherwise, the portions given were quite large but given the price, It's fairly reasonable.
The side dishes are definitely very good, I enjoyed dining on the glass noodles in between bites of the fried chicken.
Where this place does well with food, it falls apart in service. The people serving us had the enthusiasm of rocks. None of them had any intention of providing a decent dining experience, rather focusing on their paychecks to get them through the day. They will also hound you with questions and dirty looks if you do not tip. It is never acceptable to approach a customer after they have paid to question them on why they did not tip, especially after contributing nothing but negatives to the dining experience.
The place is decent and the food is pretty good, especially their fried chicken; However, don't come to this place in-person, just order delivery...
