We love everything about this place. The friendly, relaxed service. The laid back vibe. The excellent food and coffee. And the great prices. Whether you’re looking for a delicious breakfast, a healthy salad, tasty sandwiches or even tacos and burritos, Junction Grill has you covered. They make a killer double Americano (Pro Tip: if you like it a little stronger ask for one in the medium size mug) that is a great kick-start to your day over breakfast, or a pick-me-up over a late lunch. We’re slowly but surely working our way through the menu, and so far we haven’t tried anything we wouldn’t recommend. Our particular favourites (so far) are: the Bifana (one of the best we’ve had anywhere); the Huevos Rancheros; the Chick Pea salad (filling enough to share for sure); any of the Omlettesl; and, their grilled vegetables (just delicious and perfect every time). On the wish list: French Toast; Steak and Eggs; Pancakes and Waffles. There’s a reason this place is busy with regulars all the time. If you know you know; and if you don’t, do yourself a favour and get to know them. You won’t regret it.

This is a small, casual diner located in The Junction. We walked in around noon on a Saturday out of curiosity, and got seated right away. The food here is simple with a home-cooked taste, and served in large portions. We ordered the Junction breakfast and Pancakes. The pancakes were good, and the salad that came with the Junction Breakfast was delicious. My biggest complaint here was that I asked to substitute the breakfast meat with avocado instead, and they served an over-ripe (maybe rotting) avocado on my plate. The avocado slices were all covered in brown and black spots and had to be pushed aside... I would have appreciated if they offered extra salad or something else if they didn't have a fresh avocado available. The server was friendly, the food came in a reasonable amount of time, and the service was efficient.

This is great place for a tasty breakfast that’s quick and filling. I get the breakfast burrito every time. Perfect balance of egg and veggies and black beans. Plus there’s something about getting strawberries and banana slices on the side instead of awful melon that makes me feel like the restaurant is going above and beyond. 😄 The staff are *so* nice as well. When I’m in a rush they always rush my order. (thank you!) Support local and especially support a wonderful spot like this.

The restaurant was practically full, a good sign about its popularity. On such a beautiful day, I was lucky to get the last table on the patio. And moments after I sat down, a musician began to serenade us all with an accordion, adding a romantic ambiance to the air. The service was great, kind and attentive (assuming you're not in a rush; it's the kind of service where they want you to enjoy your stay so they're not constantly coming by). When they served my coffee (a really delicious one), I had the pleasure of watching the cream swirl with it in the clear glass mug.

The menu has plenty of flavourful options, including vegan ones. I ordered the vegan burrito, which was hearty, packed with filling, and left me satisfyingly full. The avocado in it was ripe to perfection, and the beans were tender without being mushy. The mushrooms and peppers were thinly sliced, providing more even distribution of ingredients. A small salad was served on the side with red peppers and some sliced onion, lightly drizzled with what tasted like an olive oil/balsamic vinaigrette.

Alongside my burrito, three different No 7 hot sauces were provided as condiments (a garlic one, an arbol pepper one, and a habanero/ghost pepper one). Each was delicious, and on top of that, vegan, gluten-free, nut-free, with no added salt or sugar! They're tasty with a level of heat that's hot enough to interest the taste buds without painfully burning your mouth. They also have the bottles for sale.

This was such a lovely restaurant for a relaxing Sunday morning breakfast. I look forward to my next visit...

My partner and I have been frequenters here since we moved to the neighbourhood 6 months ago. Usually the service is really good, fast and friendly. Food is decently priced for the type of brunch/breaky they serve.

We came in today for brunch, it was really busy. I ordered a grilled cheese and broccoli soup, my partner got one of their regular breakfasts. It took about an hour to get our food, which already sucked but we stayed patient. And then when it came, my grilled cheese wasn’t really hot nor melted. The soup definitely looked like broccoli cheddar (it was orange) —NOT broccoli soup which is what it said on the menu. But it just didn’t taste good, had a processed flavour that made it almost inedible. I didn’t enjoy it and did not eat it.

I politely said to our server that I did not enjoy the soup, I did not say it was bad, but also expected to not have to pay for a dish I did not enjoy nor eat. Then the cook/waitress came by afterwards and questioned what I didn’t like about the soup because “she cooked it herself” and was very defensive. This was honestly the rudest service I’ve experienced at a restaurant. If a customer doesn’t like your food and said it politely, you do not question nor do you say to the other waitresses behind us that “it’s not our problem”. You run a restaurant, if the food is bad or a customer didn’t enjoy it, it is YOUR problem.

So disappointed in the service and how unaccomadating that waitress/cook was. We used to really like coming here (hence the 3 star rating despite) but don’t think we will...
