Let me start off by saying that I am BEYOND impressed by everything about this place. My friend and I have been to many restaurants and eateries, and this place exceeds majority of them in all aspects. If I could rate it more than 5 stars, I would.
We came for Iftar and we thought it might take a while because it was quite busy, but we were seated with dates and water within a couple minutes. The server took our order and again, we expected a delay which I understand because of the amount of people, but the food arrived within 10-15 minutes which is impressive considering what we ordered.
We ordered the tabbouleh, feta rolls, mixed pide, mix kebab platter, and lamb chops. Everything met and exceeded all expectations, except the tabbouleh. It wasn’t horrible, but I would recommend adding the lemon and sumac. The feta rolls were a favorite as well, especially my friend, she loves every pastry and cheese combo :) The mixed pide was good, but I would definitely go with just the soujuk pide next time. The meat was very tender and juicy, tasted amazing, I was very impressed.
The portions you get are also very well worth the price, we had to take 2 takeout boxes home because we couldn’t finish it all.
The service however, was by far the best I’ve received in a while. Everything was done quickly and on time, not to mention the complimentary turkish tea at the end of our dinner. We didn’t expect it because again, it was busy, but phenomenal really, I’m recommending this place to everyone.
Only thing I would suggest, is to make space for prayer. Even if it’s a small place. Especially during ramadan, there’s many people who want to perform salah right away.
Big thank you to kebab 49, best grilled food i’ve...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at one of the finest Turkish restaurants in town, and let me tell you, it was an experience worth raving about. From the moment I stepped in, the aroma of freshly cooked kebabs filled the air, setting the stage for a culinary journey like no other.
First, let's talk about their kebabs. Juicy, succulent, and bursting with flavor – these kebabs redefine the standard. Unlike many other places where kebabs tend to be on the drier side, here, each bite was a delightful explosion of taste.
But the feast didn't stop there. I also indulged in their Adana Urfa, a delightful dish served with a mix of veal and lamb, accompanied by a generous portion of salad, bread, and rice. The flavors danced on my palate, leaving me completely satisfied. At $23, it's a steal for the quality and quantity they offer.
Next up was the lamb shish dish, and let me tell you, it was a revelation. Tender pieces of lamb cooked to perfection, without a hint of that dreaded lamb smell that often puts me off. They truly nailed it with this dish, and I savored every bite.
The restaurant was bustling with activity when I visited, a testament to its popularity. And it's no wonder – the service was impeccable, with friendly staff ensuring that every diner felt right at home.
In conclusion, while it may not be the ideal spot for a romantic date, this restaurant is perfect for a casual get-together with friends or family. Overall, my dining experience was nothing short of delightful, and I can't wait to go...
Read moreCame here for dinner with friends. The atmosphere was nice, welcoming hosts, and relaxed patrons.
We were asked to show our vaccination proofs and we were immediately seated with menu in hand and glasses of water.
Within 5 minutes, we were able to place our order.
To bring, we had the Lahmçuan Pide (Turkish pizza). The topping and sauce was great, but it was just a tad over baked, so the crust was a bit burnt and crumbly. Next was the Butchers meatball which was hands down one of the best meatballs I’ve ever had. The balls were well grilled and succulent on the inside. The flavour was balanced and the sides that came with the meal were pleasant. We had the Turkish sautéed lamb on a hot sizzler which was actually my favourite meal of the night. The dish was a little bit greasy as expected from lamb meat, but they could have removed some of the fat before using the table side sizzler.
Next was the chicken doner which was my least favourite meal of the night as the chicken was cold. I didn’t have a second bite after the first taste.
The last meal was the Iskender kebab which was also great, I only think the sauce can be a little less sweet and let the meat shine.
We finished our dinner with complementary Turkish black tea, which Capped off an excellent dinner.
Our waiter/waitress were great and they made the night enjoyable.
I highly recommend if you’re in the mood for something new and if you haven’t tired Turkish...
