Great value for Greek Food just west of Kipling Station. Hidden between Popeyes and a building on the east side at Poplar Avenue and Dundas Street, this Greek restaurant serves big portion sizes and delicious food! Would come back again!
Good food options and the staff showed us the difference between the regular and the large. They pack in a lot in round-tin take-out containers and the side salads come in styrofoam cups. The large tin can easily serve 2 people or leftovers for another day. We ordered the chicken souvlaki dinner (large) which came with salad, rice and potatoes along with the chicken souvlaki. Additionally, we tried the pork souvlaki dinner (regular) as well. Everything was delicious; the salad, rice and potatoes were quick to assemble and the meat was cooked thoroughly. Our orders came with honey sticks which looked like pita bread with honey and cinnamon. Very worth the value and the portion sizes you get!
The parking is very minimal; around 5 spots total with only 1 ramp out of the parking lot which is on Poplar Avenue. There is no ramp on Dundas Street and could damage your car with the sidewalk ledge if you're...
Read moreThis used to be a solid five-star spot — now I wouldn’t even give it one if I could. I ordered takeout for Mother’s Day, and it was a complete disaster. I had the gyro dinner: the meat was bone-dry, and tasted awful — I had to throw it out. A few hours later, I was sick to my stomach and ended up vomiting.
The next day, I had my son’s chicken pita wrap for lunch (it had been refrigerated properly overnight, he just wasn't hungry). Within 30 minutes, I was sick again — two meals from the same place, two separate incidents of vomiting. That’s not a coincidence. That’s a serious problem.
I also couldn’t help but notice the staff has completely changed since the last time I visited. Regardless of who’s working, the standards in the kitchen seem to have dropped dramatically. Food safety and hygiene should never be optional, and my experience raises serious concerns on that front.
I will never go back. The only reason I’d ever step inside again is if the place was on fire — and even then, only to pull someone out and warn them not to eat the food. Avoid this place....
Read moreFood and service has gone downhill! Ordered from Uber Eats and the driver gave another person most of our order. Called the restaurant and had to speak to 3 different ppl to try to explain what happened and thier response was we knew the driver would mess it up. 1. Have safeguards in place if there's a possibility of Uber messing up the orders. 2. Figure out a system to fix these things when they go wrong instead of saying we will put your name on a list for a future credit or come and get the rest of the order. Ppl order through Uber eats bc they can't pick up, and we were missing all the sides and a full meal. So a future credit wasn't an option especially after paying $90 for 3 meals, and 1 didn't show up at all and only part of 2 meals arrived. 3. If you can't rely in Uber Eats to get it right bc you said it happens all the time, then don't offer it as a convenience. 4. The food was okay, but its been better in the past. Too bad because it used to be great value, convenient...
