Unsanitary! Dogs Allowed to Eat at Table - BK, 5322 Dundas St, Etobicoke... Today, October 28, 2025, at approximately 12:00 PM, I visited this Burger King at 5322 Dundas St. While having lunch, I observed a woman sitting at a nearby table feeding her dog hamburgers directly at the table. The dog was sitting on a chair, leaning the paws over the table, and licking the surface repeatedly. I approached the woman calmly and politely, expressing that such behavior seemed inappropriate and unhygienic in a restaurant setting. She ignored my remarks, so I spoke to the on-duty manager.
Unfortunately, the manager informed me that he could not prohibit the woman from feeding her dog inside the restaurant, stating that Burger King’s corporate policy is “inclusive for everyone”. He added that there was “nothing wrong” with the situation and only promised that the table would be cleaned after she left. However, the manager did not even bother to step out from behind the counter to verify which table required cleaning. When I raised concerns about public health and food safety, he became defensive, accused me of “antagonizing customers”, and told me it was “time to leave”. As I was leaving, he further said, “Hope you will not return”. Two other customers who witnessed the incident supported my concerns and expressed disbelief at the manager’s lack of proper response. I asked the manager for his name, so I could report the matter to Burger King’s head office. He quickly removed his name tag and said his name was “Brian” (???).
This entire situation was highly unprofessional, rude and unsanitary. While I understand Burger King’s commitment to inclusivity, there must be reasonable limits, especially regarding food safety and hygiene. Allowing dogs to sit on chairs and eat from tables poses clear risks - including potential various contamination (Norovirus!), allergen exposure and general discomfort for other customers. I wish to emphasize that I am not opposed to dogs - I like them very much, but certain common sense limits should observed. Restaurants must maintain good hygiene standards and respect for patrons who come to enjoy food in a clean, safe, rather human - not animal...
Read moreThe night shift staff girl working here was very unfriendly, disrespectful and rude!! She behaved so badly and talked to me rudely when I was picking up the uber order from drive through around 11:30 pm on Thursday 28 Aug. I just asked her how long it will be for the order to be ready so I can update my customer as I had few cars in front of me. She very rudely says just drive to the window. And I asked her again ok I will drive to the window, I just want to know how long it will be so I can update the customer; as I had a long wait time last time. And again she said so rudely that “you just drive to the window”. No please or thanks and no answer to my question. Even when I came to the window she was talking so rudely when I asked why were u rude to me. And then she shuts the window angrily in front of me and walked away. Then another girl came & I asked her for mangers name and she said that she is the manager so I asked her for the other girls name so I can complain to higher ups and she closed the window and talked something to her and then opens the window and tells me she can’t provide her name. She said that they are only 2 people working and she had couple of orders to prepare that’s why she was rude. And they were both not wearing name batches. And when I told the girl I am going to complain about you to your higher management she said she is going to complain about me too and gave me a bad rating on uber right away. She won’t give me her name after asking several times and said she would be in trouble. Well then don’t be rude to people. And she never apologized for her behaviour. There is seriously bad customer service I have seen here and they don’t even feel bad about it. Probably because they think nothing is going to happen and no action will be taken against them. No wonder why this place is...
Read moreI want to revisit this store one day, hoping their attitudes have improved. This Burger King has rude staff & I had terrible visits with family here.
This is the Etobicoke Burger King on dundas. I do not like going here because people I know including myself had the worst experiences.👎
Personally I find it hard to buy food from South Asian people who don't smile and have a bad attitude talking in foreign languages in public.
Burger King is a great company I just don't appreciate bad franchise owners who breed nepotism. I hope your visit here goes okay. 🇨🇦
I find that a business is successful when it hires people that want to work there instead of people who just want the money. #BadLocation
Remember that no matter where you go in life or no matter where you have come from try to focus on more than money and what you think.
I do not judge where anybody comes from but a lot of South Asian people have started working in fast food and they greatly dislike it.
When I write this it is for the love and consideration of every culture. If you don't like your job quit and let someone else have a job.
Burger King and other fast food restaurants are becoming shameful because the staff make it that uncomfortable to buy food & enjoy it. 💔
Over the last decade I have found it difficult to purchase food from people who are rude and intolerant and should appreciate their jobs.
Remember no matter where you come from that you deserve to be treated properly. I cannot give a higher review for this store sadly.
Truthfully I love people but I dislike how the fast food and gas stations are becoming places where people don't want to smile & complain.
Please remember if you have problems to call home office or report staff members. If you come to Canada learn to accept...
