Poor customer service/Lack of knowledge of item.
When I ordered my drink, I specifically asked if it contained caffeine, and the staff member informed me it did not. However, while watching my drink being prepared, I saw them adding what looked like tea. When I asked about the base, He confirmed it was green tea. I then questioned whether green tea contains caffeine, and after consulting a colleague, they admitted it does. By this point, I had already placed my order, and the menu indicated that drinks with a green mark did not contain caffeine. Unfortunately, my drink did not have that mark. The guy even said, "I am not sure green tea has caffeine, Because sometime it does not" Another staff member suggested removing the tea and replacing it with water, but warned it might change the taste. I declined this option and asked for a refund instead. He seemed unsure of how to process the refund and ended up refunding me $7.68 instead of the $8.68 I paid. When I pointed out the discrepancy, they simply said, "I don't know how much you paid." I responded that they should have checked. I've visited many bubble tea store, but this location had the worst service. The staff member who took my order didnāt apologize for the mistake. My first visit, where my smoothie was poorly blended and full of ice chunks. Itās evident that the staff needs better training regarding product knowledge and customer service. Allergies can be serious, and itās concerning that they lack this essential information. I strongly advise people in Etobicoke to avoid this location. Some days I'd see only one employee working alone, usually it's not as busy, but yesterday was just utterly chaotic on New Years Day with people waiting for their orders to be fulfilled. It's not even the employee's fault, it's the fact that they only had one person there on New Years Day while people keep coming in to pick up their orders, delivery drivers waiting, or people trying to go for an in person order. It was so backed up that people who came in to do an in person order all decided to leave because it was just taking too long and you had one employee who was overwhelmed by the amount of orders coming in.
