King of Trompo — Restaurant in Toronto

Used to get okay service before, stopped going after they botched an order for some time. We also ate in house and did take out. They were our local taco place and as a Latino myself, want to provide business. They offered free tacos the next time for the botched order. I asked if they needed a name and or number and they said, it wasn't needed because we were the people with the dog (service dog). We finally come back, same staff, and MOD comes out from the kitchen telling us we can't have our dog here when we were inquiring about something else. She got really confrontational and wouldn't let me talk. So I pulled out the service dog card and said, like every time this happens, we show the card. So much for that offer of free tacos for their botched order.

Honestly, this place is fire.

I went to King of Trompo with a couple of friends after school and wasn’t expecting much, but it seriously surprised me. The tacos? Insane. Like, probably the best I’ve had in the city. I got the al pastor and the beef ones and they were super flavorful—like actually juicy and seasoned properly, not dry or boring.

The vibe in the spot is super chill too. It’s nothing fancy but it’s got that cool, low-key feel that makes you wanna stay and hang out. The people working there were really friendly and the food came out fast, which is a win.

If you’re into real-deal Mexican food and you don’t wanna spend a ton of money, definitely hit this place up. I’m already planning to go back next week.

I ordered from this restaurant in hopes to try a new place & I can say this place did NOT disappoint. The staff were very nice & phoned me to find out about my allergy concerns & even offered to make fresh guacamole for me since it contained an ingredient I was allergic too, even though they were going to be closing soon. They could have told me it was too late but still took the time to make me a new one. I appreciated the time they took for just this delivery order & the food tasted SO good & so fresh for such a late night order.
