Kung Fu Tea on Danforth (Downtown Toronto) — Restaurant in Toronto

Ignorant experience I have purchased from the store multiple times because I work next-door. But I came in today to quickly use the bathroom and a female worker first told me that it was only meant for customers which I told her I would happily purchase something. She then started stuttering and said well there’s construction going on downstairs, to at that point I was going to leave but a male coworker then came and said no it’s okay she can use the bathroom. While I was exiting the store I tipped the workers, for letting me use the bathroom to which the female worker then came up to me again and said she apologized for lying. She wanted to be transparent with me and let me know that they had been robbed multiple times and so that’s why she denied me access at first. FYI, I’m black LOL I left the store in a really happy polite way I tipped them and left but I found very odd that she would confess to her preconceived ignorant notions about someone. I definitely will not be purchasing from the store ever again nor will I let my coworkers purchase from the...

I placed a Doordash order from this location for two large matcha slushes, one with tapioca. Instead of letting me know that the tapioca was unavailable, one of the drinks was refunded without my knowledge, which is completely unacceptable. The drink could have still been sent without the topping, but instead, a female employee chose to cancel it without giving me a say.

It is basic customer service to inform the customer of an issue, not just quietly refund an item and send half the order. Because of this irresponsibility, my friend was left without her drink, and when we noticed what happened, the store was closing in 15 minutes and when I called the store the lady was very unhelpful. This was not just frustrating, it was pure laziness on the employee’s part. Either they couldn’t be bothered to make a simple phone call, or they weren’t paying attention to their job. Never ordering from here again.

Also, the one drink that came I asked for less sugar and they still put so much, and it came out very sweet. I definitely don’t recommend this...

Same consistent quality of bubble tea and service as other locations! Maybe even better!

The drinks here were amazing as usual! There’s a lot of great drinks and you’re definitely gonna find your go to drink from here! I’ve got seasonal ones from kung fu and when it’s nice out, it’s gonna either be the 38 milk king or the magic cube.

Went with the magic cube this time and it’s still just as good as the first time I tried them. The tea was nice and creamy from the milk and blended so well with the toppings.

This new location has a very nice vibe to it! The shiny black wall with their logo to their mission statements on the wall and the front window with lots of great natural light, but also a nice little hideaway in the back with a green wall and to go with the king fu theme, a wing chun wooden dummy on showcase!

Service was great as I got my drinks fairly quickly and on a really busy day too! Definitely a great addition to the danforth!
