La Única Restaurant — Restaurant in Toronto

-⭐️ I wanted to give this restaurant a chance, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing — especially compared to the Unica on 850 Wilson, which I usually go to. That location has great food and great service, and I was hoping for the same here, especially since this place has a bigger space. But sadly, that’s the only real advantage.

First, the service was extremely slow we waited almost more an hour just for our food and drinks. And when the food finally arrived even though it tasted good, it was cold, which completely ruined it.

The waitress seemed inexperienced and unprepared. We didn’t feel taken care of at all, and the service just felt disorganized overall.

It was also very hot inside the restaurant. There was no air conditioning, which made the whole experience uncomfortable. I had actually read a review about this issue from three months ago, and I was hoping it had been fixed by now, but clearly nothing has changed.

I had read other reviews pointing out these same issues, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Sadly, those reviews were accurate. I was so disappointed that I didn’t even want dessert there I just wanted to leave.

It’s a shame because the food has potential, but with cold plates, slow service, no A/C, and a lack of professionalism, it’s not worth it. I’ll be sticking to the Wilson location...

Ordered to go at 2207 and we were told to sit and that the food would be brought to us, we waited for 28 mins but I had to go to the counter.

It was sitting there for for maybe 10mins. I feel this location is VERY disorganized than the OG location.

I hope they can rectify this issue, the is still top notch.

We're a fan of the OG location, so we had to try their second restaurant. We went around 1700 and there was a long line but we were seated in about 20 mins.

A staff member made us feel we were taken care of as they were short staffed.

We ordered the Asada burrito, a mulita (carnitas), and a chicken quesadilla.

Asada Burrito was huge and they did not skimp on the meat, it was well seasoned and one of the better burritos I've tasted.

Their mulita was different from their other location, it was crunchy and packed. I do refer the other location for mulitas.

The chicken quesadilla was amazing, and meat was well seasoned and moist.

Ok so I came back for dinner and my favouriteeeeeee of the night was the molcajete mar y tierra!! I love that it includes rice (it looked a little dry but actually has a lot of flavour), tortillas and a side salad. Don’t sleep on the sauce inside the bowl 🤤🤤🤤. We also ordered the guacamole & chips, birria tacos + some individual tacos on the side. Homemade guac always slaps. I also ordered their classic margarita and it was perfectly balanced. I was questioning if it even had alcohol inside because it was so good but on the way home, I definitely felt the buzz 😂 Service was great per usual, servers kept coming and checking on our table. A must visit

So glad this gem of a place opened up near me! We stopped by for dinner yesterday but we ended up getting bottle service. They have a good variety of different tequilas! Don Julio 70, casamigos silver! And dobel, one of my favourites. Have to come back and try the food next time. Service was super nice and...
