Updated Review: I have been going to Panino Cappuccino for a few years now but unfortunately, the quality and portion of the food has drastically gone downhill in recent months as well as their service. The hygiene of the staff also appears to be in question. The last time we ordered, we did takeout and we noticed that several items were missing key ingredients and three items (calzone, pizza, and bread) were burned completely black! They forgot the croutons for the Arugula Salad, the marinara sauce for the Calzone, and the Chili Oil that we requested. We've also noticed that the item descriptions on their menu no longer represents the items you're getting. For example, the "garlic crostini" for the Buratta and the "roasted rosemary bread" for the Bruschetta is actually just the exact same plain sliced bread. Additionally, the "balsamic drizzle" for the Arugula Salad is no where to be found. Lastly, the once-delicious Pappardelle ai Funghi is completely bland with no traces of truffle or even salt. I've ordered this item twice in the past four months and it is absolutely not worth it anymore. They have cut the portion size for the Pappardelle in half as the container is only half-filled now. On the other hand, the Penne Rustica that I've ordered twice alongside the Pappardelle were filled to the top. As others have mentioned, the service is really not great. We had to return to the restaurant to collect the items/ingredients that were missing, at which point the server proceeded to roll her eyes at us. It isn't the customers fault that the restaurant did not pack the bread and fresh basil for the Buratta which is an $18 item! I'm shocked by the behaviour of the staff at this restaurant and their treatment towards customers who literally just spent $155 at their restaurant. Additionally, a few months back when I went to do a pickup order, I noticed that one of the people who was packing Skip the Dishes orders put his bare hands down his pants in what appeared to be an attempt to fix inside his underwear. He then started packing containers away in Skip the Dishes bags without washing or even sanitizing his hands! I'm very appalled and turned off by this restaurant. Needless to say, I do not recommend this restaurant anymore. Original Review: My go-to restaurant for delicious and fresh pasta and pizza! I highly recommend the Papardelle ai Funghi, the Penne Rustica, and their Aloha Pizza. I think that the slightly higher price is justified considering the high quality food that you’re getting. This is definitely a special occasion kind of spot for me, but I love it regardless!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Panino Cappuccino, a hidden gem that came highly recommended by my Italian friend. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I had been transported to a charming eatery in the heart of Italy. The ambiance is cozy and authentic, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing meal. The food was simply outstanding. Every dish we tried was bursting with rich, authentic flavors that you could tell were made with love and care. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the sauces were absolutely divine—just like Nonna would make! The panini were fresh, packed with flavor, and perfectly toasted. And of course, the cappuccino was the best I've had outside of Italy. The service was equally impressive, with the staff being both friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. They made us feel right at home, offering recommendations and ensuring our dining experience was top-notch. Whether you're looking for a quick lunch, a cozy dinner, or just a place to enjoy a fantastic cappuccino, Panino Cappuccino is the place to go. I can't wait to return and try more of their delicious offerings.

Wow, wow, wow...What an amazing place. Who knew that this restaurant could exist in such a sketchy plaza? Well, apparently many. I always wanted to try this place after being recommended by two of my friends. Could not be more impressed. Our table shared appetizers; calamari, burratta, Italian spring rolls, as well as a couple of pizzas. All were awesome. Everyone raved about the food. My main was the Pappardelle ai Fungi. OMG. By far the best I have ever had. I just wished they had a tasting menu, as I looked on enviously at the plates others in our party had. Only small issue was that all food was a little slow in coming, and plates were not placed quickly, as we all waited about ten minutes from first main to last main being served. Additionally, they had a limited selection of beer, but may have only have been the night. Stop, do not pass Go. Make a reservation and go there as soon as you can. I know I'm going to go back soon.

I’m genuinely disappointed by the experience I had at one of my previously favourite Italian restaurants in the city. I’ve always appreciated the atmosphere and food here, but my most recent visit was incredibly disheartening due to the poor service we received.

Our server, Annemarie, was hostile right from the beginning. When I asked for the drink menu, she seemed confused and required clarification, as if a drink menu was an unusual request. Then she proceeds to ask me what kind of drinks as they aren’t all on the same menu. Finally, she got frustrated and left the table only to return with a drink menu (which did have all the drinks on one menu after all). Her attitude throughout was unwelcoming and unprofessional.

We ordered two entrees and an order of calamari as an appetizer, only the entrees arrived. After 15/-20 minutes of having our entrees, I decided to ask about the calamari. When we followed up about the missing calamari, we were told it was never even put through. No apology, no effort to make it right. I ordered the calamari for my nephew who accompanied me to lunch. After a long day of school, I wanted to treat him, not knowing that an order of calamari would take close to an hour when our table and one more couple was the only people there at that time! I wasn’t expecting such poor service and disrespectful attitude.

This kind of service is not what I expect from a well-known and reputable establishment. Many of my colleagues from Kooy Brothers frequent this restaurant for lunch, and I’ll definitely be sharing my experience with them. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the...

I would like to share our experience of our recent Thanksgiving dinner that Panino Cappuccino (PC) catered for our family. A special thank you to Stephen Frati for recommending PC. We were hosting Thanksgiving dinner for our extended Dutch and Italian family, and I contacted Marcello at PC to arrange a traditional Canadian Thanksgiving. Marcello was fantastic; we provided him with the menu items that we wanted and he arranged the rest. PC provided a buffet style dinner for our 26 guests in the basement of their restaurant. The atmosphere was perfect; the staff decorated the room in a traditional theme to provide the perfect Thanksgiving fall ambiance! The dinner was so delicious; chef Charles, went over and above to provide us with the best Thanksgiving meal we have ever experienced. The turkey (done two ways) was so tender and the vegetables and trimmings were cooked to perfection. Our guests raved about the delicious food for days to come. Charles interacted with our guests in a very personable manner which made them feel so welcome. PC is just a gem of a restaurant/catering service in our city. Thank you for taking care of our family and for taking the stress off us during a busy time. We will be knocking on your door for many more occasions in the...
