Decided to try Lambretta after watching Dave Portnoy review them and since it’s not far from home, took the drive by. The pizza was pretty good. Tasty, good amount of cheese. Service was friendly, polite staff. Was shocked when 2 slices and 2 pops costed $17 and change though. Only qualm we really had was that the gentleman put our piping hot fresh out of the oven slices, on top of one another. The bottom slice stuck to the bottom of the paper plate, I’d suggest merely using 2 bags at that point. It’s a tiny bit extra, but that little detail makes all the difference when reviewing a restaurant in full. Overall, delicious pizza, great staff, just a little on the pricier side. Pizzas definitely not cookie cutter though, it’s a quality slice, and that’s what you’re paying for.

Not really sure why I got served burnt pizza because clearly, from the pictures, it looks perfectly charred, right? I mean, anyone with eyes could tell it’s burnt and would probably replace it without a second thought. But nope, she just tossed it on the plate like it was totally fine and served it with the warmest attitude ever… if cold and annoyed counts as warm. Maybe it was because a delivery guy ordered it? Who knows. I was starving, so I ate it anyway because let’s be real, if I complained, they’d probably serve me something even worse. Yay, customer service!

Lambretta Pizzeria is a hidden gem in Toronto! We stopped by for a quick bite and enjoyed a delicious pizza slice paired with a refreshing Italian beer. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a cozy, family-friendly vibe that makes you feel right at home. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, adding to the overall great experience. If you’re looking for authentic Italian flavors and a laid-back setting, this is definitely the place to go. Highly recommended!

Absolutely unacceptable service.

I walked in respectfully and professionally, with a proper food bag, to pick up a customer’s Uber Eats order. The order was nearly $100 worth of pizza, and although my insulated bag was not large enough to accommodate everything, I clearly communicated this to the staff and asked what they would prefer I do.

I made it very clear I was willing to work with them — if they weren’t comfortable with me picking up the order, they could have simply told me. Instead, they proceeded to hand over the food without concern, only to later give me a thumbs down on Uber Eats for reasons that make no sense.

On top of that, the customer gave me a thumbs up after delivery, personally thanking me for the speed and that their food arrived hot.

Looking deeper into this business’s reviews, it’s obvious this wasn’t an isolated incident. Multiple other drivers have described the same rudeness, disrespect, and unprofessional behavior from the older man working there.

We as drivers help expand their business. We help their food reach more customers — and yet we are treated like an inconvenience or lesser human beings.

It is absolutely disgusting that any restaurant would treat delivery drivers — or any people — this way when we are trying to support their success.

Potential customers beware: If this is how they treat the people helping their business grow, imagine how they value you once they have your money.

There are plenty of great restaurants in Toronto where respect, kindness, and professionalism still exist.

Do yourself a favor: support businesses that actually deserve it. Avoid this place.

Edit:

Following the owner’s response, it’s clear that rather than addressing the issue respectfully, they chose to attack me personally and make assumptions about my reviewing history.

Regardless of how many reviews I have posted, it doesn’t change the fact that during this visit, I was treated rudely without justification.

A professional business should be able to accept feedback without lashing out at customers.

If this is how they respond to respectful criticism, I would recommend avoiding this...

I am still in complete disbelief over the experience my family and I had at Lambretta Pizzeria a couple nights ago . What was meant to be a simple family dinner turned into one of the most upsetting and disappointing dining experiences we have ever had.

From the moment we arrived, we were met with coldness and a clear sense of unwelcomeness from the staff. Instead of improving as the evening went on, the attitude and disrespect only grew worse. When I politely asked our server if something was wrong, I was shocked when they curtly told me to “mind my business,” to “just eat” and “leave already.”

Feeling hurt and confused, I asked to speak to the owner, hoping for some understanding. Instead, I was met with even more disrespect — the owner made an extremely rude comment towards me and told me I was no longer welcome at their establishment, simply because I had spoken up about how we were being treated.

To make matters worse, as my family and I were leaving, another staff member continued to make snarky remarks toward us, only adding to our hurt and humiliation.

We went there expecting a warm, welcoming meal together and instead left feeling disrespected, embarrassed, and completely unwelcome. It’s heartbreaking and disappointing to know that speaking up against clear mistreatment can be met with even more hostility. No customer — or human being — deserves to be...
