Mango Sushi Japanese Food Restaurant — Restaurant in Toronto

Ordered from Uber at 10.11pm May 9th. Total after free delivery is 21.50$. Combination for one that comes with chicken fried rice and a few options to pick 2 from. I choose sesame chicken and cheese wonton. Buy one get one free spring rolls. Drink is included. First of all everything is bitter from old oil. Sesame chicken has no sesame seeds on it and has a drizzle of sauce? Wontons are in fact chicken wings! Spring rolls are under cooked. They also tasted bitter from the oil. I took a few bites considering I worked all day and was starving but instantly regretted it. Never heard my stomach so loud and bloated. This “wonderful” meal included: 2 complementary, crushed fortune cookies, one packet of soy sauce, 2 packs of plum sauce. There was no note included for missing ingredients or items nor did the restaurant contact me to ask if I would still like my order with their choice of replacements. Amazing value! Ok, the opening month BOGO promo on some of Mango's Japanese and Chinese offerings puts it over the top. But even not factoring that in, their prices are really good for what you get.

Passed by and tried the Japanese side of the menu. Got the crispy salmon roll and california roll (both BOGO for only $6 each). Sure, it wasn't the fanciest quality sushi. But they were fresh enough, the rice-to-protein ratio was good, and you get 8 pieces at that price. Absolute steal if you ask me.

Mango is mainly a takeout place, but there are a couple of 2-seater tables if you want to dine there. Interior is clean, service is quick (they started rolling only after I had ordered and had everything ready in less than 10 minutes) and the owners are friendly. Can definitely see myself going back here. Will try their Chinese...

Went here last night after promising myself over a yr ago I would never go again. I figured maybe they changed but nope - same experience !

Worst sushi I ever had. Don't be fooled by the 2 4 1 spicy salmon special. - it's mostly rice and hard dry cold rice which has clearly been in the fridge a few days. The food is NOT fresh.

The service is also horrible. The young boy who served me last night was kind and attentive enough but the older gentleman who makes the sushi ALWAYS looks and acts miserable. Never seen him smile and he was eating food again, same as last time.

The ambience is also Zero.

Its not rocket science - it you want customers and to make money serve FRESH food AND at least Fake the customer Service if you have to . 🙄

P.s if anyone gives this place a 5 star review it's probably the owner himself...
