If you're looking for an authentic taste of Jamaica, this restaurant delivers! The food is always hot, fresh, and bursting with flavor, making you feel like you're right back on the island. Whether you're craving jerk chicken, curry goat, or some classic oxtail, everything tastes just like home. The spices and seasoning are on point, and the portion sizes are generous. It's a must-visit for anyone who loves traditional Jamaican cuisine. I've went twice already in one week. :)

I am a regular at Mangoes. The food never disappoints. You always get great customer service and they always maintain a great level of professionalism and politeness. I am never disappointed. The quantity is always a great amount as well. I recommend this restaurant to friends, family and any one that is looking for an authentic Jamaican meal. I have attached a few pictures, the food is always amazing. I love supporting small businesses!

I go here on break almost every other day to get the weekday lunch special. ($5.65 after tax). They are really good. My favorite is the fried chicken lunch special. The skin on the chicken is so crispy yet the chicken on the inside is always so moist and delicious. They are a small restaurant with the same staff daily. Upside to that is if you go there enough they will recognize you, your order, and be really friendly.

i can guarantee that you'll feel good eating from here. the owners are nice, quiet folk - the store itself is kind of old, shabby but the food is yummy and very filling!

my first time trying this place out after reading reviews and being close by in the neighbourhood. i tried the BBQ chicken, jerk chicken, and oxtail with a spicy gravy (choice between (mild and spicy) poured on top. ALL very good. The oxtail is tender, the jerk chicken has good a nice spicy kick, and the bbq chicken (fried chicken with bbq sauce) was spot on. might be better to try the fried chicken on its own too. i got all mediums, just one is A LOT of food, worth the price. tried the chicken soup because someone reviewed it. it was pretty good. had chunks of chicken, potato, pumpkin or a sweet squash, and a little bit of heat - also filling for a small.

i think maybe because of covid/lockdown they have reduced their already small menu but the remaining items are worth trying. their coleslaw is the creamy kind but vinegary, which i like better than too sweet or bland like other places...

I enjoyed my first experience at Mangoes. I ordered a large jerk chicken dinner and a large fry chicken dinner. Both came with a good portion of chicken, ample rice n' peas and nothing else. Each dinner was $10 plus tax. I was asked after each was packed if I wanted salad. Not slaw, but rather a garden salad which I assume would have been complimentary. I declined so she included two small festivals.

The service was perfectly friendly.

The food was average. I am a huge fan of Caribbean food and have eaten at 10s and 10s of Caribbean establishments. I feel comfortable with saying that this was safe jerk. That is, just enough heat to notice but not nearly enough to bead a sweat, (which is how I like it). The gravy seemed common, perhaps it was instant. The fry chicken was ok, but again, smack dab mediocre. Lastly, alas, there was no scotch bonnet sauce. Only a bottle of Grace Red Hot sauce was available.

I'll be back on a Friday for some jerk pork, (the only day of the week it's served), and I'll update my...

Wonderful customer service. They were very friendly and respectful, served quickly with a smile. I dined in and forgot to take pictures of the delicious food. I could believe the price for the large and small was a dollar difference so I had to try a few dishes and bring some home.

We started with the Jerk chicken with rice and peas… delicious, spicy Curry goat with extra gravy on my rice and peas Filled with flavour, tender. The oxtail and rice and peas very good The food is authentic and fresh. The rice and peas was so good I could eat it soso (by itself)

All the meals came with a delicious coleslaw similar to kfc coleslaw.

The plantains were sooo sweet I had to get more before I left. I tried the perfectly round fried dumplings. They were soft. It melted in my mouth and my mouth was begging for more.

Next time I’ll try the soup. I’m so excited to go back and try the rest of the menu. This is real...
