I like this park. Its got a splash pad, swings, slides, sand box, benches, chairs, pool. Located by the lake. You can see the ducks. There is a bike path that leads you downtown toronto. Td bank is near by. Coffee place like birds and beans, mimico bagel. Value mart nearby for grocery shopping. Bus stop route, is a loop that takes you back to Royal York station. Only reason why i gave it 4 stars. Is because when i used to live in this area. There were some druggies that overdosed around the park area. That's was not a good sight. The playground is pirate themed with multiple structures and slides. It is situated right by parking and the public swimming pool. There is a splash pad area and a sandbox with tons of semi-covered seating.
There is also a running/biking trails along the waters. One thing to note - if you have small children, even if there is a sign to watch for children, we've encountered rude bikers who yell and were speeding without care. So be mindful of that especially if you have a stroller or a wagon, to careful steer your young children...
Read moreMy favourite park to take the kid! There’s new and well maintained playground structures, a fantastic splash pad for the kids to cool down in and tons of other fun things to do all around the space (ping pong table, communal toys, etc).
They recently reopened the pool (looks dreamy and refreshing!) and the site has clean washrooms/change rooms for the whole family!
The views of the Toronto lakeshore are second to none, and you really can spend an amazing day walking along the boardwalk and taking in the sites.
