This unassuming Italian pizza spot has been a staple at the corner of Dufferin and Saint Clair for many years now. The formula is simple...real Italian pies baked on a fire 🔥 wood oven to perfection. Thin crust pies topped with a variety of fresh garden ingredient, served by friendly staff in a very cozy atmosphere. If you're into deep dish or thick crust pizza this is not the place for you, in other words you can forget about mozzarella rubbery cheese pies, though you can get it if you ask for it. However, when you eat a pie prepared with goat or bocconccini cheese instead, you get to tap into the real Italian realm of taste. Start your dinner off with a succulent order of calamari before your main entre along a glass of tasty wine and you will fast discover why this Restaurant is such a great proposition at very affordable prices. There is another location in Woodbridge of the same exact caliber, but I do prefer visiting this gem in little Italy instead Great location, great food, great service and great prices. Try it for yourself, you'll be glad you did.

I've never been to Italy but it's hard to imagine pizza being better than this. Regardless, I doubt I'll find on this side of the Atlantic. So, if you like pizza (and seriously, who doesn't?!) you need to eat here, pronto. My mom has been telling me about this pizza for 25 years. Every single time we have pizza she tells me how it isn't anything compared to Marcello's (blah blah blah is what I heard.) So, we had planned a day in the city for an event but we weren't sure where to eat until we noticed how close the pizzeria was to the event location and I said "F*%& it, I want to know what all the hype is about" not expecting very much. Well, who knew pizza could be life altering...

Went here with my colleagues recently for Christmas lunch and was pleasantly surprised by their really good food. I love Italian food but am not a fan of marinara sauce. Hence, I usually go for Alfredo or Pesto based items. But here, we went for a Pizza Bruschetta for the table, which has marinara sauce. And I must say, I loved it! Personally I enjoyed their Spinach Ricotta Ravioli in Rosè sauce, and a lemon Iced Tea. They were both pretty good. The service was really good, place was neat and clean. But a little too cluttered. They also have old-timey photos on the wall with vintage looking frames - a cute touch.

I've been to Marcello's several times over the years, and this was an easy recommend when our favorite pub down the street was closed for a private event. That being said, I think I caught the restaurant on a bad day.

My mother and I came in as walk-ins on a Sunday night at 6, and the first thing we noticed was an intense smell of sweat and vomit. The place was packed, and we couldn't see any vomit so I have to assume they had cleaned up, but not enough to get rid of the smell.

Our host was gracious and found us a table quickly, but that charm turned off immediately when I tried to order some bread WITH butter (a deep offence I know, but my mother's stomach hurts if she has too much olive and vinegar) and was told quite shortly that "it doesn't come with butter", and he pointed at the oil and vinegar. He bolted from our table so quickly that when we looked at where he pointed and looked back (less than 2 seconds), he was already halfway across the restaurant. He brought our bread, said "Bread", and chucked it on the table and left to sort out another customer.

The vomit smell came in waves, and was strong enough that my Mom and I just couldn't justify sitting down, eating, and not feeling ready to vomit ourselves. We made an excuse and told another lady waiter (very nice) that we needed to cancel the table. She was very sweet and said no problem. Honestly, I didn't have the courage to tell the host directly since I didn't want another confrontation or swift exit.

I hope to god this isn't the norm. I LOVE Marcello's, and have been going since I was a teenager....

Hi, my name is Hope, I live in the neighbourhood of your St.Clair location. My family has not visited your St.Clair location before. However, my sister celebrated her 17th birthday at your St.Clair location today along with 5 other teenagers for a meal to celebrate her. Unfortunately she brought to my attention after their meal was completed the waiter serving them notified them because your establishment’s policy is 6 or more people must pay 1 bill, my sister was stuck paying everyone’s meals which was approximately $200. I can understand that being your policy and respect that, however other restaurant locations I have visited, the waiter would notify the table prior to everyone ordering about a large party dining would need to be done in 1 bill as a courtesy note so no one is surprised once they’ve completed their meal. I’m very disappointed to hear this especially since all 6 of them were minors dining at your St.Clair location and was only told about this policy after they completed their meals once the explanation was made by your staff. Very odd since my many experiences in the past at other restaurants the server would notify my party prior to us ordering so we’d collectively agree that would be okay and can proceed to order if...

All of our visits here have been good and the food as always is exceptional. Only reason for giving 3 stars was because of the service experience. We came in after the dinner rush and saw many seats available. We requested a table in the corner that seated 4 but were told that was for a larger party and were seated on a table for 6. Interestingly we noticed only 4 people came in after us and were seated there. Also didn't appear to notice any "reservation" sign. Lastly at the end of our dinner we requested the bill and when the server brought back the payment machine he surprisingly threw it on the table towards our guest. Top it off he didn't even enter the bill on the machine so had to come back again. Just a comment that don't be so rude if customers insisted on paying and rather than throwing the machine and walk away just leave the machine on the table, especially as we had a lot of extra space for a party of three. Plus I know they would've have gotten a much better tip. In the end perhaps lesson here is don't have a tantrum when customers insist to pay the bill. There are many ways to end on a positive. Thank you to the kitchen staff who always make great food especially the pizza! 🙏 Still a great place to go for real...
