Mayflower Chinese Food — Restaurant in Toronto

I have been searching for good Chinese in Etobicoke and had high hopes for this spot. I don't live within the delivery area so I was happy to go pick up. I called ahead to place an order and got a busy signal a few times. I thought this was a good sign that the food was good. I finally got through and placed my order and made my way there. Order was going to be ready within 30 mins. Totally reasonable. The person taking the order was professional and efficient. Another good sign.

Unfortunately, this location is not easily accessible but I managed to reach the restaurant. The accessible parking is around the corner from their location and there are 2-3 stairs. Or the ramp is further away from their location.

I also noted that there were a few people waiting for orders so another good sign to me that the food would be good. The staff at pickup were nice and efficient again. I was really happy up to this point. My order was ready and I was on my way. I followed the instructions to keep one of the bags in the same position.

Well, I got home and started to unpack the food. I ordered beef and broccoli, Cantonese chow mein and chicken with almonds. The chicken with almonds had opened and literally spilled all down my clothes, on my table and onto the floor. The aluminum container had bent open. What a disaster. But still, I was excited for the food. Unfortunately, I was completely disappointed. The chicken was so dry, I had to spit it out. And all 3 dishes tasted the same. There was no flavour. I spent around $55 expecting leftovers. I didn't even eat it and I had to throw it all in the garbage. I tried all of it with hopes of finding my new spot. I will never go back. The worse part was that everything was great except the food lol. I really wanted to like it since the service was great. I think I have pretty mainstream taste buds so did I just order items that aren't their speciality? I'm not sure but not going to try again. Great...

Place is gross I have been ordering here for the past year at one point in time i was so busy In life i had mayflower for dinner every night for a week straight then I got to see the real mayflower go in for pick up u will see what I'm talking about 10 people in a small space moving like rats one person has gloves and she handles the money then with the same gloves cuts your chicken and beef the person who has gloves on makes no sense when u are contaminating everything with your money grabbing hands so if that's not enough then maybe this is there's a can they have for excess sauce they tip for order in it to drain sauce the can is rusted and older then me I'm 27 years of age now if that doesn't stop u from eating there maybe this next one will the chicken they use sits on a cutting board in a bag in its own juice turning white that's what they cut up and make into chicken balls lemon chicken chicken fried rice they all walk back and forth a thousand times contaminating the food with flying hair no hair nets just one lady who has gloves to collect money and cut your meat there is a white girl there who needs to understand true religion is now at winners and throw that old gross hoodie out and act her age the girl who always takes orders on Friday and the yonge asian one in a red hoodie I know this place in and out i have ate here many times until I seen its dark secrets customer service is horrible too they don't give sauce unless u ask its never there fault if a order is undercooked or wrong if u eat here be careful make sure it's well done anything u order to kill all the contamination u will get large gas and the runs enjoy mayflower...

Been coming here for at least 6 years almost 7. My partners, staff and associates all switched over to mayflower. Even after moving 30 minutes away at one point. However it's unfortunate but they will no longer be getting our business any longer. We ordered a ribs dish, wings along with Bacon fried rice (with chicken n beef). In our 7 years it was the first we ever recieved anything unedible. So we called with our very first complaint and we were not seeking a refund we actually asked if we can replace the dishes we would actually send them both back. They declined to send replacement meal at midnight and offered to send refund the following day. We agreed and thru away all the food except for the fried rice as that was fine. Following day I called at 5 pm they said driver would arrive 630pm. We received a full refund. To ight we decide to order as we normally do as we order minimum 6 to 8 times per month not Including the office which is another 4 to 6 times per month as they do open rather late in the afternoon.
