UPDATED COMMENT! If I could give a 0 star I would . My mom and I tried the food here and it was DISGUSTING. My mom ate the double, the chickpeas were hard, the patty was one of the worst patties I’ve eaten, but then when it got to the oxtail and the goat we both had one bite each and spat it out. The oxtail didn’t even taste like oxtail and the goat had no flavour it was hard and just gross. The owner told my mom to be honest with him on how the food tasted , because he knows she’s Jamaican and knows good food, growing up with amazing cooks in the family we all know how carribean food should taste, when she went back to return the food, the owner was soooo beyond rude. My mom nicely told him that she didn’t like it and was being honest like he had asked her to be… he yelled at her in front of the entire restaurant and told her to never come back. This is after being politely honest about how the food taste and this is an owner speaking to one of his customers.. Never been dealt so unprofessionally and disrespectfully by a business like this ever! Do NOT eat here, the owner threw my mom back more money then she paid for when all she said was, that she just wanted to return the oxtail and goat, and he took that as an insult. He didn’t want us to come back to the restaurant, but it would be our honor to never eat here again.
UPDATE: The Restaurant responded to my mom’s Google review in a non professional way. Here’s some advice to the owner of this restaurant, never argue back with your customer and never put your customers business online. You lied through your teeth with that comment , and I will make sure that I get as many people as I can to give you guys 1 star. Your food is disgusting, my mother is not a liar, she knows good food, we were raised by amazing chefs and cooks. If you dare to comment on this review with some snarky remark, I will make it known on the news about how unprofessional your business is and how disgusting your food tastes. Learn how to be professional and maybe work on your restaurant and the people who work there. You guys proved our point in your response back to my mom’s review. Read moreI did not receive satisfaction on my small jerk chicken order. There was so little meat.
I was told to come back for an offering that would yield more meat — "to satisfy your expectations" he said. Now this will not be possible due to the store closure. Dear Mr. Natalie, you should not be making false promises to your new customers. I traveled to your eating establishment using my own gas, and had to return home empty-handed. If you ever open again, I will be expecting that you be compensating me for this — otherwise I will take my business elsewhere.
If I had known that the small jerk combo would yield so little meat, I would not have ordered it. I know the prices have gone up, but some people are stressed to pay $10.49 for large. I paid $5.99 for the small, and was highly disappointed with the meat yield. And that was not including TAX! Now I am out of pocket $5.99 plus the gas that I used to drive to your restaurant, and being closed without notice the second time. That's a grand total of $15. I will be asking for a discount next time I visit if you are open, otherwise you will not be seeing my business again. I will follow up this review to update my experience after you make your decision.
You should not skimp on the meat yield of your dishes even though it is the most expensive portion. Maybe this is the reason why your restaurant is now closed?

I ordered the oxtail, curry goat, double and pattie and when I tell you this food was so bad. I was confused cause the reviews were so high. The owner actually yelled at me because i was honest about the food? I have never been so disrespect by a restaurant owner before. It was the first and last time. I DO NOT RECOMMEND EATING AT THIS RESTAURANT.
UPDATED COMMENT: Miss Natalie's owner, i think my review speaks volume as to what actually occurred.Do not tarnish your reputation anymore than you have already done. Its 2024 and we record everything. As you were yelling at me, telling me to leave your restaurant and never to come back , I said, please sir, I'm recording you, please stop but you continued to yell at me with no regard to your behavior as a restaurant owner knowing i was recording the conversation. You were nice when i first came into your restaurant but the moment I came back and told you i did not like your food, you took offence and attacked me. Just a peice of advice sir, take constructive critistism always, even tho you don't like the outcome. Remember, we have google reviews for this very reason, to improve your business and customer service.
