My church hosted a back to school fun day for the community and thought it would be a wonderful idea to use Edmond's Mr. Iceberg ice cream truck. He was to arrive at 4pm after we served lunch and finished our various presentations and workshops with the children. We agreed on the time and the invoice stated 4 pm. He called the morning of the event that he had scheduled a lot of events for the day and would like to come earlier. We agreed on 3 pm or 3:15 pm. He said he would call 20 minutes before arrival. He never did. A call would have been nice because we would have informed everyone that the ice cream truck is arriving soon. He arrived at 2:30pm, an hour and a half earlier than the original agreed upon time. This interrupted our entire schedule. He only stayed 45min instead of the hour agreed to because of his other bookings. We were not afforded the slightest hint of an apology and no sign of any remorse whatsoever.
He was also not very cheerful or pleasant in dealing with the children. We found him to be quite curt with them. Of course the children loved the ice cream, but we also got complaints of wrong orders. For example, a child ordered a slushie and rather than clarifying what flavour, he offers a random flavour of his choosing. Another child ordered a chocolate/vanilla twist and he just gave a vanilla cone, no care or concern to ensure the correct orders.
We also found his prices quite high ($6/serving of either ice cream cone or slushie). The cones received were quite small as demonstrated in the pictures attached. The young ladies who organized and discussed the booking with Edmond stated that the impression they received was that the ice cream would be unlimited for the number of people attending. He kept inquiring about the number of guests and did not clarify that it didn't matter how many guests we had but that we were paying for a specific number of servings. And as you can see the serving size was very small.
We will not be soliciting Mr. Iceberg's services for any future events!
EDIT The order for 50 servings of ice-cream was $6/serving + Hst. Since we thought it would be unlimited and it wasn't, we ended up paying for additional servings and he charged a discounted rate...

We had called 2 months ago to book the truck for our 1 year olds birthday at 1pm. These guys call us 2 days before and say they can only stay for 30 mins and it’s our fault because we didn’t let them know what time our event was at.
We were disappointed. We had called in months earlier and shared the 1-4 timing and aimed for 70 treats. The owner, Eddy said we would personally come and fix the situation. On the day of the party all he did was make the situation worse.
After 30 mins he told us it was time for him to go, after only serving 20 or so treats, but wanted us to pay $300. The ice cream man is supposed to bring smiles to kids faces and his tone and attitude was incredibly aggressive.
Throughout and after the party I had multiple guests and neighbours ask me what was going on with the “ice cream man”. Why was he shouting and angry. Afterwards guests shared pictures of their kids in front of the ice cream truck with sourpuss eddy and his angry faces 🤣.
I told him we’re not paying full price and that he’s free to go if he’s not honouring his end of the deal. Eventually he offered a discounted price and then had the audacity to ask for a $50 tip!
Eddy you need to try some of your ice cream and cool down. Very disappointed and I have asked my guests to share their experience.
Reading some of the older reviews we should have seen this coming. A lot of disappointed kids parties and reviews shared their...

Customer service is what lets this business down and it is extreme in its deficits. We were having a corporate summer party and hired the truck to serve our employees and their families. The service was so rude it was shocking. the most egregious being threats to leave the party unless we paid remaining balance on credit card although an alternative payment structure had been agreed upon and the deposit had been paid. Then threats to leave if we didn't pay more money, claiming that we had reached the limit of what was on our invoice. We ended up paying on the spot for an additional 50 servings, but when I did the reconciliation after the event, we had an estimated attendance of 120 people and had pre-paid for 190 and ended up paying for a total of 240 servings of ice cream. Perhaps every single person had two ice creams, but I think it is unlikely. And unfortunately, the way the owner and the truck operator behaved on the day makes me mistrust them as...
