Nanalyn Jerk — Restaurant in Toronto

One of the best Jamacian AND Ubereats experiences! AMAZING taste. Usually have problems concerning food quality and missing items with Ubereats but this restaurant overdelievered by far. Decided on Nanalyn’s after reading all reviews and I must say I am glad I did. Both the meat on the jerk chicken and oxtail are falling off the bone and very tender(not bbq’d), and even their patties are delicious(flaky and sweet pastry and spicy beef). Very authentic, savoury taste. The coleslaw serving is small so I suggest ordering more on side because pretty tasty(there’s also two different flavours of it depending on what you order. The rice and beans could be better though because there wasn’t many beans and the type of rice wasn’t the best quality but honestly for the price and compared to other delivery places I’m not complaining. The festivals are fantastic, super crunchy and a good price(2/$1) as are the plantain(2/$1). We got the large size for all meals and it was a great portion for the price. On a side note, I called before ordering and the lady who answered was very sweet and helpful(I ask a lot of questions because I’ve had many bad experiences with delivery). Make certain that you receive the amount of food that you will be paying for. The food is okay, but instead of putting the food in the wider and deeper section of the Styrofoam container the lady put my food and someone elses food in the narrower and shallower section of the container. As the locking mechanism was upside down and the recycling symbol was seen at the top of the container, it was clear that the container was placed upside down, and the food was therefore in the lid. This left us with a lot less food than we paid for. Upon discovering this, I approached the young man at the cash and asked why that was done. He went on to ask me if I would like more rice added. Another first time customer ended up stepping in to clarify to him that I would like more of everything in my container (not just rice). This completely ruined my experience. I also did not receive an apology, which made it obvious that this act was intentional. So, please pay close attention if you choose to purchase food from this...

What can I say? There is no customer service what so ever. I walked in and ordered a small jerk chicken. The guy never raised his head to acknowledge what I said. He just went on preparing an order. Finally after 5 mins he said ok you want the small jerk. I said ok, lets give this another try. I ordered and ate there and paid. The guy never said thanks. It was as if I was bothering him. The place was empty, and I'm guessing that's the reason why - no customer service at all. The jerk chicken tasted as if they slapped on some jerk sauce they bought at the grocery store. Rice was hard with no flavor. I used the washroom and the place stuck in the basement. Avoid this place at all cost. Needless to say I will not be returning.
