Service and food quality depends on the day of the week and the mood of the serving staff. First visit we came with a large group and the service/food was excellent. When we asked to split up the bills, the server said we would be charged $1 extra for every bill, but she said if we came up to the register and paid separately, we would not need to pay the extra $1, so we did this and walked away happy, eager to return.

Came back the week after and the service and food was absolute rubbish. The server did not bring complimentary bread. Of four orders, only one came as requested, so three of us had to wait for the kitchen to decipher what the server had written down. The fish was NOT fresh and promptly returned. In its place we requested a chicken meal, and the replacement chicken had a rotten smell (to the credit of the manager/owner, she did bring a second chicken that was recently grilled and better tasting). The clincher was the $1 they charged for splitting up the bill. When we indicated that in our previous visit we hadn’t been charged the extra fee by coming to pay at the register, the offhand reply was: “that was then, this is now, are you ok with that?” No, I wasn’t ok with it, but would they let us walk out without paying? I had no choice but to pay it! The brilliance of this setup implies that the customer has to pay for doing the server’s job of splitting up the bills. Why do some servers know how to split up the bills without charging and others don’t????

Bottom line, the food and service is hit and miss but the bad experience confirmed we will never come back here again or recommend this place to anyone. For authentic Portuguese churrasqueira, just go to ANY other in the city. There’s enough competition to...

Unfortunately, I will never go back to this restaurant again. I had such a terrible experience. The service is absolutely horrible but mind you the waiters are very nice, but the way thing’s were handled by the owner completely unprofessional. We have been here in the past and will admit the food is good except for one time a few years when I had an issue with a Cod dish I ordered that was battered codfish, and all that was in the batter was basically the end piece of fish tail with barely any meat on it. and the owner still argued with that there was nothing wrong with it at first and then admitted it was a not good portion! Last night, my husband and I were seated and the place was not full. We placed our orders and half hour later of still waiting we are being told that we have to wait another minimum 30 minutes, but that was told to us after large group of people entered the restaurant that became priority and we were shafted aside…. this is absolutely the worst service!!! This is not how people should be treated! I spoke to the owner and told her that wasn’t right and she was still trying to make every excuse why we should wait and then tells me oh I will go see if itge food is ready because she saw that I was very upset and she just wanted to shut me up! I told her that the way they handled things was very unprofessional. You don’t do this to people! We know a lot of people that go to this restaurant and also have complained. This place used to be hit and miss. Don’t even know why we even gave it another chance. What were we thinking even going to this place!. Bad customer, service, unprofessional, and rude!!! My mother and I have been going to This Restaurant since they opened we loved the food, and we usually get an okay service with the girls. The reason why i am writing a bad review is because they ruined our mothers day!!! WHY well because first off we called and made a reservation for 3 people at 7pm, The man on the phone took the reservation with no name or phone number(I gave him my name), we knew it would be busy for Mothers Day and thats why we called instead of usually walking in. We arrived at 7pm and know one acknowledged us or asked us if we made a reservation or were we would like to be seated. Finally a lady gave us eye contact and we told here we made a reservation, my mother told her we wanted to be seated outside. She escorted us to the patio and ALL tables were full except one that was empty and obviously not cleaned. Another 5 min passes servers chatting away and still know one taking the one minute to tell us That it would be a few min till they had someone to take our order. We see the owner and ask when we will get to order and very rudely says its busy its Mothers Day you have to wait or leave pretty much! We felt so uncomfortable the majority of guests are Portuguese and we are obviously not (mixed ethnicity) so I just wanted to leave. The owner was rude abrupt and kept cutting my sister off when she asked him why know one has asked us for our order or cleaned the table. Anyways Great Food Unfortunately...
