Osmow's Shawarma — Restaurant in Toronto

I came in tonight with my friend, it was our first time at osmows. Typically at shawarma places they ask you what you want on the salad and what sauces you want etc, so I asked "how does it work here because it's my first time and do I get to pick what's in my salad?" The girl working was nice and explained what would be in my salad. They made our orders and we found that my friends was covered in garlic sauce but we didn't realize that was standard. She has severe allergies which make her unable to eat that garlic sauce which we explain to the man working, very apologetically. He was visibly upset, and tried to refuse to make it again. We had to go back and forth before he reluctantly made it again this time leaving out also the hot sauce. We got to our car and noticed, and I went back in to get the sauce for my friend as she was already very uncomfortable. When I went back in he didn't say a word to me until the end when I asked him another question. Very rude and uncomfortable service.

To take the cake, my friend said thank you so many times and that she would give them a great review to which he responded 'Yes you better, I will refresh in the next 5 minutes to see that you left it'

Lastly, the food was mediocre at best and the garlic sauce sucked - as someone who does get and love shawarma...

I ordered a super chicken shawarma wrap and it was stuffed......with vegetables. No exaggeration, it was 80% of vegetables. I thought the chicken maybe dropped further down the wrap, but no. In fact, I ordered two chicken wraps, where they somehow put the wrong toppings on the wrong wrap, and both ended up being veggie wraps with a sprinkle of dry chicken.

Previous times, I ordered chicken on the rocks and the food was lukewarm at best. I mean the rice container had no steam coming from it and who knows how long the chicken has been sitting in that container.

I’ve been here maybe 5 times, and it has not gotten any better at all. Makes me wonder if the owner even cares. And I only say that because when you compare it to the original Osmows in streetsville, this place is trash. Shameful. An embarassment of what its supposed to be.

I see the “owner” has replied to other 1-star reviews by saying they will talk to the staff to ensure better future visits. I think the ship has sailed. I didn’t bother telling the staff about the messed up order and minimal chicken because they clearly didn’t care or didn’t know how to make it.

One of the worst places to eat , in need of a serious health inspection.

Came here to order a medium chicken on sticks the order goes , pin pad takes 3 minutes to load. After that the server whom takes my order with gloves on does not change the gloves and chops the meat on the skillet and after that he touches the pail where the fries are picks it up and puts it in the fryer and pressed the timer on the wall. I thought maybe he would change the gloves , but no with the same gloves he proceeded to do everything else and take orders. Also the girl who's making the orders same situation touches makes the Sharwarma for one customer than transfers the fries from the fryer to a transfer bin. Than proceeded to put her hands with the same glove on and grab a handful of fries and put it in the conatainer for my chicken on the sticks.Are you guys cheap to go to dollarama for a set of tongs.The amount of cross contamination is unbelievable.

Other things I've noticed: Male staff with a beard have no beard not None of the staff have hair nets or non slip shoes on a serious hazard in a fast food kitchen...
