I had driven by Padaria dozens of times before curiosity finally got the best of my and I stopped in. I'd also had a friend mention to me he heard their cheese balls/bread were fantastic. On my first visit, I went a bit crazy and got a little bit of everything- mostly savoury- and indeed the cheese balls were fantastic; easily the best I've had in the city, leaps and bounds beyond those served at the Brazilian steakhouses here. I thoroughly enjoyed the pizza-- the one with egg, onion, cheese, and ham--, as well as one of the fried balls with shredded chicken inside. I drive by Padaria frequently, as it's on a route I often take, so I've since stopped by several times for the cheese balls alone, they truly are that good- I know you must be thinking "how good can a cheese ball/bread be?" and the answer, in this case, is "extremely". Seriously, just try it. More recently, I decided to again get a little sampling of several items, most of which hit the spot, a few of which were just okay, the highlight this time being (in addition to the cheese balls) the briadeiro's; the little truffle style treats. I got an assortment of all of them, and what can I say... each was better than the last, my personal favourites being the combination condensed milk and chocolate one, as well as the peanut one... but all others were amazing as well. The only reason I'm giving four stars is because, well, it's not a cheap place, especially for what you get and for the type of spot it is- a casual bakery. Quite expensive, actually, especially if you wish to try several things. But other than that, it's great- service is always warm and friendly, and the place is clean and has a...
Read moreamazing brazilian bakery! Love the offering of authentic traditional Brazilian treats! Had the quindim, pĂŁo de mel, sonho, and mini Charlotte all alongside a brigadeiro macchiato! all so tasty and delicious and all with their very own textures! the quindim with its well know intense yellow colour to the Charlotte, which many know as bolo de fubĂĄ com goiabada. essentially, a corn cake with guava paste. All of them were not overly sweet and just the perfect balance in flavours, textures and sweetness! The brigadeiroâs were upper soft and just slightly rich giving, yet again, a great balance. Even with the coffee, they offer the brazilian bean coffee of demello from just up the street and in the macchiato, they actually dropped a brigadeiro into the espresso drink! the service was impeccable and the person that helped me was so informative with all the questions I had! so many different offerings, and was so difficult in making a decision! Definitely recommend trying this place out!

Read moreAn intriguing little Brazilian bakery that decided to check out while we were waiting for our take-out order to be ready across the street.
We were feeling a little hungry and though Padaria bakery would be a good choice for some snacks to tie us over for 20 minutes. Pre-lockdown, they had a fairly simple system to ensure it was safe for all patrons such as no indoor tables available for dining, 4 customers inside the store at all times, a small table with hand sanitizer, and a few tables for outdoor sitting.
It seems like a very popular spot in the neighbourhood which includes a few cyclists making a stop too. Itâs always great to see independent and novel spots like this being embraced by the community.
We wanted to get one of everything but resisted to only getting the two of the more popular Brazilian staples that they offer. We got a pao de queijo, a really delightful cheese bread/biscuit, and a coxinha, a super dense and delicious croquette.
We just stood off to the side of the sidewalk to enjoy these goodies and didnât need much...
