If I could give 0 stars I would. Ordered from this location this evening to try the new Papa Bowls. Received them, after already starting to eat them realized the toppings on 3 of them were incorrect. We also did not receive the $1.20 dipping sauce. We continued to eat as it was past dinner time, we are hungry after a long day as people who usually order take-out are. I called and a woman answered the phone, explained the situation. Was put on hold numerous times. I was told I was wrong and that the boxes she gotten mixed up but the toppings were correct and that she herself has made the orders herself. I explained that they were in fact wrong and that I would like some sort of compensation whether it be partial refund, coupon a free pizza ANYTHING. I was told no and that the only thing she would do is send the driver back to pick up the food and have the correct order sent out otherwise she could not help. Went back and forth with her in regards to we were not waiting and it was not fault that they are unable to do their job correctly. I then asked to speak to the store manager she mentioned she was the person on duty at this time. I asked when the store manager was in and she had mentioned she was then the store manager, and that if I didn't want to speak with her anymore I could speak with a supervisor at 10pm. In what world does a store manager pass issues with clients to a supervisor? Ive been in customer service for 10 years, apart of numerous management teams, this would NEVER happen. At this point I was fed up of repeating myself to someone who clearly cannot comprehend how to deal with an error that she, herself made as a “store manager”. I said I would be contacting head office and asked for her name, I was then told to have a good night. I requested the name again and was then told have a good night and was hung up on. I have read previous reviews and responses from the owners mentioning new owners with over 12 years experience and that is a joke if I ever heard one. A manager with over 12 years experience would NEVER ever ever behave this way to someone spending their hard earned money at their store and company. My name is Jessica Robinson in your system, placed the order at 5:52 pm EST on October 23rd. Order number is 995853028. My phone number and email are on file. I expect a phone call or email response with the store owner as the earliest convenience. P.S the papa bowls were not worth the $12.99 it’s advertised as “layers” if you want to call some cheese thrown over some toppings with pizza sauce layers then I guess it’s alright. A $66 dollar order … complete...
Read moreThis Papa John's location in the GTA has severely declined in quality and service over the past eight years, prompting me to write this review. The food quality is substandard and does not meet Papa John's corporate standards, suggesting the owner is prioritizing cost-cutting over quality.
Concerningly, online reviews and my own observations suggest this franchise has been replacing local Canadian workers with foreign workers through the LMIA program in recent years. This practice raises questions about the owner's motivation, potentially prioritizing government subsidies over hiring locally and ensuring proper training for staff.
This situation reflects broader concerns about the potential misuse of Canada's immigration system. While such practices might be acceptable if the food quality remained high, the combination of poor food and questionable hiring practices is unacceptable. I believe Papa John's corporate should investigate this location, and customers should consider the implications of supporting a business that may not be prioritizing Canadian workers or maintaining brand standards.
As an alternative, I recommend ordering from Domino's, where the staff seem to demonstrate a stronger commitment to quality...
Read moreI was in that area this afternoon in between 3 - 4pm. I saw papa John's and thought....YES!!!! They have a sign in the front window advertising a special....slice and pop. So....I went in and asked for a slice. They had only 1 slice available and who knows how old it was.
I asked for a different slice of pizza or if more was being made... the response was absolutely absurd.
The worker there said they do not make anymore slices after 1 ish and I was to order a whole pizza.
I guess papa John's will operate until closing time with that one crusty slice.
I ended up going to A&W next door for a buddy burger. I sat in my truck across the street while I ate and watched several other people walk in and then walk out to A&W as well.
Just giving everyone the heads up....if your in the area and have a craving for a slice of pizza....don't go there unless you wanna buy a whole pizza.
I...
