I called this location to place an order for pickup to give a specific order of just pepperoni since all of the menu options online come with mushroom apparently and there is no ability to customize how you want. After picking up my order, I saw mine had both green pepper and mushroom which I did not ask for. Taste was ok. In hindsight a different reviewer mentioned something about this pizza causing their throat to itch somehow, and I feel like they were on to something because I remember feeling something similar after. For the amount of pizza you get, it seems a bit on the expensive side. I understand this is advertised as more of a deep dish variety, but it wasn't that deep to justify their medium size looking to me like it should have been classified as small. Which for $20 it felt like I was paying a premium for something, perhaps (in their opinion) the quality or maybe the Halal aspect I have no idea. I would have been fine with a higher price if this was a top rated popular pizza place that people are always lined up out the door to get. The location itself doesn't feel inviting when you walk in. Everything is crammed inside this tiny space, with barely enough room to stand and pay for your order, and even the one person working looked like he barely had room to move around, so the whole thing looked cheap and dirty if anything. It's obvious they moved to this location to pay cheaper rent and you can tell they just shoved all their old stuff in this smaller space without thinking about design or the...
Read moreWhere do I start with the infamous "Pizza Shab", this pizza shop should be rated to be one of the worst pizza shops in Canada. We decided to try this pizza shop out based on a friends recommendation, that's where the nightmare started and ended which I'll get into later. We walk into the shop and there was barely any room to even place your order, there was a total of 5 of us and I was half outside the door. That's where the expectations started to drop for this place, along with when we asked how deep the pizza would be while the employee declined to provide an answer considering he was holding the pizza pan in his hand - "No I can't show you the depth". I still hear these exact words in my sleep because of how illiterate the employee was. What completely horrified me was when we opened the pizza to see ketchup condiments laying inside, this is unacceptable and this place needs to be shut down. We even had a few friends eating it with ketchup and recommending it to us to try but I had taken an oath to never eat ketchup with pizza in this country when I became a citizen. Anyone committing such acts should be deported. I would rather burn my money than spend it here. Thankfully credit cards exist so feel free to dispute the transaction so one day this shop can...
Read moreThis place is already known as the best Halal Pizza in Toronto, but if deep dish pizza is your favorite style of pizza this is possibly the best pizza place in all of Toronto!
Deepdish pizza done right has a thickness of crust that is thick enough to contain the ingredients but thin enough to easily bite through. The level of depth of the pizza is perfect, whether you order a small, medium or large pizza. One of the best parts about their pizzas is they make deep dish pizza correctly - the ingredients are layered with multiple layers, sauce on the bottom, then alternating cheese/toppings so it isnt pure veggies/meat in the middle and cheese on the top. This makes each bite collect all the toppings, so even if you have a small pizza the ingredients are well contained.
Also, the cheesecake slices on a stick are so delicious and the perfect way to end a meal. If you're going by yourself, the small pizza (only 6.5" in diameter) can easily be finished in one sitting, with the cheesecake on a stick as the...
