I recently visited Punjabi Chaap Corner in Scarborough, and overall, it was a satisfying experience. We tried the Tawa Chaap and the Amritsari Chaap Roll, both of which were absolutely delicious. The Tawa Chap was perfectly spiced and cooked to perfection, while the Chaap Roll had a great balance of flavors, with soft chapatis and a delicious filling. We were helped by Damini who made perfect recommendations and was very accomodative to our requests. Overall, the service was excellent, making our dining experience smooth and enjoyable. The only downside was the kulchas. I did expected that they will be made fresh but they perhaps were the heated version of the ones that we get in the groceries.Unfortunately, this was disappointing, as freshly baked kulchas would have been perfect with the tawa chaap. Despite this minor setback, the restaurant is a great choice for anyone craving flavorful Punjabi chap dishes. I’ll definitely visit again to explore more of their menu and perhaps will try the tandoori chaaps the next time.

Best North Indian food I have been searching for restaurants in GTA that serve good tasting Indian food for the past couple of months and finally, I found the best one today. I went here to try Malai Chaap as my friends recommended it to me. The Malai Chaap here tasted the best so far in Canada, I can say chaap here tastes better than a lot of Indian restaurants as well. Being impressed, I also decided to try their Steamed paneer & chilli momos, spring rolls and kulhad milk, all of these dishes were delicious and tasted just like they used to taste in India, I will recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Also, thanks to Mr. Sagar for being very courteous and respectful. Edit - Went again to try their latest Pav Bhaji, it was pretty good, was flavorful and delicious, also trued their gol gappe, they have 6 different flavors, it was also really good.

EDIT: I am editing my previous review because the quality has fallen drastically! I ordered Amritsari chaap and afghani stuffed chaap today, though amritsari chaap was decent, afghani stuffed chaap was horrible. It used to be this mild, creamy stuffed chaap, but today it was very spicy! Either they changed the recipe of afghani stuffed chaap or gave me an incorrect order. It was a very disappointing experience for me because i specially drove from durham to Scarborough specially because i was craving the creamy afghani chaap taste. Very disappointed . Pics attached. ……………. This place is a hidden gem ! Their chaap just melts in your mouth! We loved their afghani chaap , afghani momos and tandoori momos ! Would definitely go again anytime we are in the area!

Review update

Good service, food was so fresh and Was done right this time…

All the items were good except for the Mango milk shake which was an ordinary shake but food was very good… portions could be better for a pick up however, it can be overseen by its taste… Hence updated my rating. Thanks Ram for fixing the order this time to meet my taste

Quite disappointed with my visit here..

After having seen such positive ratings, I was all excited to order the food but, was left disappointed.

Drove over 100kms to just give this place a try and they messed up the order

Firstly, the wraps were very dry, roti was hard and unable to chew, then their meaning of spicy is cracked while pepper?? I thought this was Indian food, when asked for making it spicy they just cracked whole lot of Black pepper… though the stuffing tasted ok expect for the kind of spice

Then comes the portion, for a takeout place I already thought the prices were high but still went ahead with ordering to my disappointment, portions were small yet so pricey… ($11-13/14) for a wrap is not justified…

Cheap tasted good though. I wanted bump the rating to 4 but, leaving at 3 since there are more issues...

Highly recommend if you want to eat soyabean chaap and Momos that have taste like india (Delhi especially).

Its a restaurant with a very nice vibe, fast service and very good taste with plenty of parking but sometime there is no sitting so you have to wait for 20 minutes or more.

We tried Malai Chaap, Amritsari Chaap, Afghani Chaap, Chatpati Chaap, Crunchy Momos, Tandoori Momos, Afghani Momos and Gulab Jamun.

Malai Chaap - 7/10

Amritsari Chaap - 8/10

Afghani Chaap - 7/10

Chatpati Chaap- 5/10

Malai Chaap Roll - 7/10

Crunchy Momos (veg) - 8/10

Tandoori Momos (veg) - 8/10

Afghani Momos (veg) - 8/10

Paneer Roll - 2/10 (paneer is very bad in canada)

Gulab Jamun - 8/10

The problem of the restaurant are it portion size, the quantity is not sufficient. Thus if you eat a lot then you end up ordering half of there menu.

And the second problem i price, its not expensive, for example each plate of momos is only 14 after tax but due to small quantity, you may be end up ordering many times then expected. Especially If you are in a group and like there taste.

We two end up with a bill of $200 plus in...
