You come here for the cheap food, and as such, this is a place where you can expect to get what you paid for.
Menu prices are very attractive indeed (for example, $9.99 steak dinner), but the savings come at the cost of quality, so you should expect low quality meats. Food is generally on the bland side and it's up to you to add more salt and pepper to add some more spice/flavor to your meal. They stay true to "you get what you pay for" in order to keep the prices down, so expect a lot of things to come with extra charges. Just as an example, you can pay $1.59 for pop here but don't expect any free refills, as they aren't charging $3.00+ that other restaurants might in order to offer free refills.
Service is good, although I'm not sure what it is like during busier hours. During quieter times you can expect quick and attentive service, and food is brought out relatively quickly once you get your order in.
The restaurant definitely cuts every corner they possibly can to squeeze out every last dime in profits, so expect a sub par dining experience. Seats have cuts on them and are in bad shape, lights out in the washroom not replaced, chipped plates, no ice in water, low quality ingredients, and food that is at the point of just being cooked are some of the ways they're trying to squeeze out some more profit.
Overall the restaurant earns a solid 3 stars. It's nothing special and at the same time it's not bad. Very convenient place to grab a quick bite or pick up dinner if you work near the area or if you pass by and are hoping for a cheap meal. It's a restaurant you'll probably re-visit every...
Read moreI came here for all 3 meals before and I loved that it's not too heavily seasoned and it's bland for those of us who like it on the blander side. It's quite affordable for a large portion and it's visually appealing too. If you come here early enough, it is quite peaceful as there's nobody there yet or the regulars haven't come through the door yet. They have comfortable seating and you can watch sports channels here and the news while you enjoy your food. The only thing I ask for them to improve on is their service and interpersonal skills on how they talk to their customers because I find that sometimes they actively ignore certain tables after some of them say to circle back in 5 mins or something. It makes them feel like they are impatient and rushed to make a decision. Sometimes, the way customers are being talked to with attitude and a harsh tone when something is not being understood about the menu or something isn't clear and they want to clarify and get simplification on it. I feel that if you even as ask them what types of choices they offer (like their tea selection), the staff don't answer you for the first 5-10 seconds and stare at you in disbelief as if they couldn't believe you weren't aware of what choices they offer because it's just the regular teas (earl grey, peppermint, jasmine...etc) that you see at Tim's or in grocery stores. Well, I didn't know that, hence I asked! God knows we're supposed to know information beforehand. What if that customer has poor working memory and doesn't remember or is a first-timer to...
Read moreSo I normally go here and have never had a problem. The food is always fresh and fast. Never really noticed the service before. Until today went with my boyfriend because we had a thing going for egg Benedict’s at different locations. We tried out honey b. I think they have a good egg Benedict which they do and was the cheapest we could find so far. But the service was slacking today big time! The place was not busy there was two other tables one male sitting alone and another table of guys talking they had already ate. We ordered she brought us breakfast special which I was like hello we ordered egg Benedict and peal-meal bacon reason for coming here. She was annoyed and brought the food to the back took awhile for our food to come we had to ask for coffee refill and she proceeded to serve us whiles on the phone looks like she was taking order for pick up. Benefit of the doubt. Not a good experience today will be back. Hopefully it is a better experience next time. Maybe she was having an off day everyone is aloud those once in awhile. They might need to buy some new dishes as well the ones they have are all chipped and heavy. Poor waitress maybe that’s why she’s upset! It is 24 hours I can’t really read the sign of the hours on the sign at the front with all the 000 it is confusing . Take papers of the front door not appetizing when you come in to be talking about bathroom being for customers! You should let someone use the bathroom even if they don’t buy...
