I am a repeat customer who was treated like garbage on my 4th visit. Didn't even order anything and left before I sat down. Disgraceful service, no wonder the resturant was empty on a long weekend Saturday at 4 PM!

We walked in and tried to sit down only to be interupted by their supervisor who stopped us and told us not to sit there as that area needed to be cleaned and that we need to remove our childs car seat from his stroller prior to going to sit down before we even picked out a spot to sit. We have always kept the stroller with us in previous visits plus the resturant was empty, which I explained to her and after some back and forth she relented and allowed us to bring the stroller into the aforementioned empty resturant and then we were told to only sit in a corner area that was the least appealing to us.

When we tried to sit elsewhere once again we were told that that place needed "cleaning" and to not sit there (didn't look like it). It almost felt like they wanted me to fight them for the opportunity to spend money in their restaurant. I was with my kids in all this back and forth, we decided it was best to leave and never come back.

No one inquiried why we were leaving and my wife later told me that the supervisor was rolling her eyes behind us.

So all in all, never going back. To the owner of this establishment, what goes around comes around, and you should look into hiring better management staff or closing the place down.

Just imagine the stupidity, that a paying customer comes into an EMPTY resturant that is fully staffed, but they can't retain that single customer. It's almost funny. Can't review the food unfortunately cause I...

I recently had the pleasure of having breakfast with my friends at Nirala Restaurant, and I must say it was a delightful experience from start to finish. Located conveniently with plenty of parking space, the restaurant offered a warm and inviting environment that set the stage for a memorable meal.

One of the highlights of our breakfast at Nirala Restaurant was undoubtedly the lamb paya. The succulent and tender pieces of lamb immersed in a rich, flavorful broth left us craving for more. The aromatic spices infused in the dish added an extra layer of depth to the overall taste, making it a truly satisfying choice.

Accompanying our meal was their refreshing lassi, a traditional yogurt-based drink that perfectly complemented the flavors of the lamb paya. Served chilled and garnished with a hint of cardamom, it provided a cooling sensation and balanced out the spiciness of the dish.

The restaurant itself boasted a pleasant ambiance, with comfortable seating arrangements and a welcoming staff. The décor was tastefully done, creating a soothing atmosphere that was conducive to relaxed conversations and enjoyment. The attentive and friendly service further enhanced our experience, making us feel well taken care of throughout our visit.

All in all, Nirala Restaurant proved to be an excellent choice for breakfast with friends. From the delectable lamb paya to the refreshing lassi, every aspect of our meal was executed with finesse. Coupled with the inviting environment and ample parking facilities, it was a truly enjoyable experience that left us eager to return for more...

2nd Review for this place:

Ridiculously high price and Poor service and poor quality of food.

Shameless Management and staff. Very rude, ignorant and non professionals.

Raising price to the level that even Saturday tables are empty no customers like before reason same.

For 2 Poori $13.99 plus tax "wow" only Chana not even Aaloo tarkari in it. Claiming the best Halwa poori in the whole GTA. What a Joke. All the curries went very high in price but very low in quality, again Shameless management talks to you rudely when you try complaint about it.

NO and 0 stars again for Nirala, just a wastege of your precious time and your precious Money.

First Review:

I went to this place a few times specially for Breakfast and some times for dinner. About 3 to 4 years back it was nice place to go and eat with a little high price and fair quality of food. Since Pandemic starts Nirala Restaurant raised the price almost double for everything and quality of food is really gown down. $3.75 for a naan?? All other things are so expensive as well. We order food and after seeing the low quality of food as well as quantity was very low too. We left without having our dinner despite of the manager asking us to stay and get discount on the food but as we tasted the food already with NO TASTE at all moreover food likes a day or 2 old refrigerated and just warmed up to serve for the honest and valuable customers. We're definitely never going back to this...

Hey everyone. I came here only for the nihari as I heard a lot about it. It was GOOD. Worth the 45-minute drive to get there. HOWEVER... the nihari was too thick (like a korma instead of being more liquid). And the meat wasnt as tender and soft as nihari meat should be. We didnt eat the meat and had the gravy only. Thats the reason for the 3-stars... gravy too thick and meat not as soft and tender as nihari meat should be. But the taste was good although the spice level was a tad bit high. About the service... when i have to remind the staff to bring the stuff I've already ordered, then thats BAD service. They forgot about the lassi I asked for. To make it worse, they also forgot to give the garnish (lemon and ginger) for the nihari. The garnish is part and parcel of nihari and I shouldnt have had to ask for it. The sweet lassi wasnt lassi at all. It was a cold bowl of yoghurt with some sugar and mixed with a fork. Come on guys.... you cant go wrong with lassi!!! There were no tissues in the washroom to dry hands after washing them. So you wash your hands clean, then use your clean hands to open the disgusting door handle 🤢 🤮 which some people use without washing their hands after relieving themselves. And whats with the single hand wash sink? At a desi restaurant where most people use their hands to eat? Like come on! The decor was good. The restaurant was well appointed.

Think 🤔twice before going there. Our overall experience was so bad. The food was BLUNT. We went there in July 23,2025, while we were in the area. First bad impression, the minute we enterd instead of any greeting the guy asked how many people( he was the owner). After that we ordered bihari kabab, nihari and nan. Waitress repeat our order with that guy, and he was very loud ( never had experience with the restaurant owner) and telling to the waireds loudly we can hear every conversation , tell them we dont have it order something else. It is fine but his attitude was not exceptable. Any way orderd chapli kabab then. When food came to our table, we were so disappointed 😞 Nihari wasn't look like nihari and offcourse taste was also not good. Chapli kabab was the worst we had. Not cook fully . Look like they used the frizen one they did not prepare at the restaurant fresh. Then we order one qeema nan to go, which was the worst even. It was the insult of qeema nan as well. There was no qeema, they just put some chicken chunks and called it qeema nan. There sweet was also not lime Pakistani sweet, look a like but taste was not good. It was just waste of money .100% we are not going there again, because after visitingthis restauranti shared wirh my other friends and family, they had bad experienceas well , thats why i just post this comment.

If taste had a throne, Nirala Sweets & Restaurant would be ruling it with a spoon in one hand and a ladle in the other! I went in with an appetite and came out with a food coma — no regrets. The Beef Nehari? Oh, it wasn't just food; it was a soulful experience. Tender beef that practically signed its own resignation letter before landing on my spoon. The spices? Let’s just say it tasted like Lahore’s Liberty Chowk at midnight — vibrant, unforgettable, and slightly life-changing. Now, let's talk about the Halwa Poori. Golden, crispy poori paired with that sweet, divine halwa? I’m convinced this combo could solve world peace. Every bite took me on a nostalgic trip straight to a Sunday morning in Lahore, where the air smells of fresh poori and the only debate is who gets the last piece. Spoiler alert: I won. The service? Quick, friendly, and just the right amount of "Are you sure you don't want more?" energy. Spoiler alert: I did want more. It’s places like Nirala that remind you why Pakistani cuisine is in a league of its own. Every bite is a love letter to the streets of Lahore, Karachi, and Pindi — rich, bold, and unapologetically authentic. If you’re craving a taste of Pakistan, this is your boarding pass. Just be warned — one visit, and you’ll be thinking about Nehari like it’s an old flame.
