This was my fist time trying Bosnia and Herzegovina cuisine and I fell in love with it. Their food is a good balance between Middle Eastern ad East European cuisines. This is a cozy supermarket/restaurant that offers variety of Burek, grill, platters, and roasted meat. You can also buy cold deli, dairy products, snacks, frozen meat and burek, coffee, etc. from here. We ordered Chevap’s (10p pieces) and cheese burek for our meal and Cupavi and Jabukova (they both include apples) for dessert. The portions of Chevap’s were more than enough for one person; they comecwith onions and garlic sauce and 10 pieces would be $13.72. As for the Burek and desserts, they’re priced according to their weight. The staff were friendly and patient with us, since we didn’t know what to order. I also liked the vibe there; mostly senior people from their community come together here for a chat.

It was the first time that we tried this place and it did not disappoint. We ordered cevapi served in lepinja bread. The cevapi is like beef sausage, freshly prepared in house, well seasoned and grilled. It was so delightfully good and tasteful. The bread was soft and moist. It was served with kaymak and fresh onions. The kaymak is made out of milk and is like a soft creamy, cheesy spread. It pairs well with the cevapi. The bread was a big portion with 10 pieces of cevapi but one can also order half portion. We also enjoyed their apple pita and espresso. The price is very reasonable. The staff were so warm and friendly and took the time to explain the food. They also have fresh meat and other grocery products. We will surely go back to this place to try other items in the menu.

Picked up a cabbage roll meal (SARMA) served with a soft, fluffy Lepina (Balkan style bread) The meat inside is seasoned so perfectly, it tastes like the cabbage rolls my Baka made. Sop up the tomato-cabbage-meat-juice with the pillowy Lepina and it’s some serious comfort food. You’ll be missing out if you don’t pick up some BUREK - PITAs (meat, cheese, spinach, potato) from the front counter. If you’ve never tried Burek before, the buttery, flakey exterior will blow your mind. The fillings are generous and addictive. Pick up one of each to see which one you like the best. Located in a plaza across from Cloverdale Mall in Etobicoke. Plenty of free parking, but be prepared to wait for 5-10minutes as they are often very busy with line ups. But it’s WELL WORTH THE WAIT.

The cevapi is delicious. No doubt about it. I do wish that they had some sort of salad option as a side.

Today, I ordered take-out. I called ahead and ordered 4 large cevapi, 1 small cevapi, and 6 pieces of Burek. When I arrived, there was no one to help me and I waited a few minutes before I was served. Not that big of a deal, they were in the back and I think they didn’t know I was there. Maybe they need a bell or something so they can be alerted when a customer arrives.

Anyways, my order was ready. I paid, brought the food home, we ate, and the food was delicious.

However, I later realized that they completely overcharged me. Unfortunately, I threw away the receipt once I got home and have no evidence. I know for sure what I paid does not equal what I ordered - I was overcharged by about $40.

I realize that this is my fault for not double checking before paying. I remember thinking that the price was way too much for what I ordered but paid anyways. So again, my fault. I would hope that this was an honest mistake on their part and that they didn’t take advantage of me.

I will give them 2 stars because the service can be improved but the cevapi is really good. I can’t help but think that they overcharged me on purpose but, of course, I cannot say for certain.

If you do go here just double check your receipt before walking away. Other than that,...

I have been here on several occasions for balkan products which is a good selection! Customer service could definitely improve, as I was yelled at by one lousy mouthed cashier (blonde curly hair/slim) few months back for mistakenly attempting to grab an order she placed in front of me while waiting for my order and thought the bag was mine as i was next in line to cash out. She freaked out at me yelling ‘no no this is not your order with a sly smirk’, her response was unnecessarily loud and confrontational. She went on to say your cashier that was went to grab your order as if i had known their process of another associate not bringing the food from the kitchen? The situation escalated as she handed the order to the correct customer, making derogatory remarks in her foreign language. It was a shocking and unpleasant experience i was left in a surprise at what had just happened. She turned a misunderstanding into a heated confrontation and had the gull to blatantly disrespect a customer for her own irresponsibility, the least she could have done was try and apologize or mellow down...
