I am visiting the town for a few days and went to catch up with a friend who lives in the area. She suggested this place as it was a famous Korean street food spot among the locals.

The food was not bad at all, and the portion was quite big. We were glad that we ordered one menu set between the two of us.

My friend loved the carbonara rice cake, and I didn't mind trying that as it sounded like a fun fusion item. It was quite different from what I expected from the Italian carbonara - it was a bit sweet. I guessed they might want to add a touch of hotness to the sauce as it was kind of red. However, I could not taste any spice.

Rice bowl we had the spam option, as I liked spam. It was decent. It was more a standard staple - nothing fancy - but reliable.

For the sushi roll, we had the cheese one with mild spiciness. It was not really spicy but had a little kick of hotness. I would say more sweet than hot.

The dee fried fish cake were in like finger shape. This was the item I liked the least among the menu set. It was a little bit soggy. Nevertheless, it could be me as I was never a fan of fish.

The set also came with a soft drink. It would be better if there was healthier option like real tea (not the soft drink kind of tea) as both of us did not drink soft drink and I just chose one anyway.

Overall, it was a decent experience. I liked the service was minimal and they were honest to ask for tips with options of only 10% to begin with. If I come again, I will try order individual items instead of the set as the set you cannot avoid the deep fried fish cake. I want to try other...

Food is good but the service not the best. The cashier is rather rude. When I went in I was told about the +20 minute wait, so my friends started considering getting take out instead. As I was looking for the menu and scanning the QR code for the menu, she told us that we should move to the side as it may cause trouble for the Uber drivers coming in, I told her I will but the code is still scanning but she told me I was being bothersome. She then tried to “apologize” but spent the whole time justifying her actions and telling me I shouldn’t have blocked the area. There was no Uber driver waiting, no physical menu and the only QR code not on the tables was right in front of the register (please tell me how else am I supposed to get the menu?). I wanted to leave to the other location but then a table opened up and it was awkward to say no thanks. As she walked to my table instead of just letting us know where the QR code is she said “I assume you should still have the menu on your phone as you were making a fuss about getting it”

I was annoyed but I wasn’t the one to bring up the QR code thing, she was, I was planning to just sweep it under a rug. She kept confronting me about it and it honestly leaves a really sour taste. I might go to the uptown...

Not a fan of the seating arrangements in this place, sat next to a windy and it was extremely dusty with dead bugs and stuff. Should implement cleaning as a part of training, not sure if the staff is just lazy. However, food was decent and I like the variety of options, recommend getting the tteokbokki for sure. You will probably end up having leftovers as we did because it is really filling.

The seating arrangements in this place are not the best. We sat next to the window and it was extremely dirty, dead bugs and dust everywhere. The restaurant needs to implement a new cleaning program. The staff also does not come ask you if you are ready to order, I had to go up to the counter and ask to order and then they told me to sit back down and that they would come (this was after 10-15 minutes of waiting)

The food is good but not as good as the other sinjeon location. Be sure to come on an empty stomach as the food as very filling and you will probably have to take some home with you.

Food tried: Rose Topokki, Cream Curry Udon, Fish Cakes, Gimmari, Tuna Mayo Ricebowl.

Pros: Tasty Food, Fresh Cons: Dirty, Poor...
