You won’t believe me if I told you that this cafe serves the best Matcha Cookie ever! But first Welcome to a series where I explore 50 Best Cafes Toronto has to offer and this is part 16! Welcome to Space Coffee located in Toronto and can I just begin by saying how adorable this place is. You literally feel as if you are walking into someones house, its just so welcoming and warm & Estella who owns this coffee shop makes sure you are always greeted with a smile

I recently had the pleasure of visiting *Space Cafe, tucked into the southeast corner of Yonge and Finch in a charming walk-up space filled with cozy, two-story shops. Just a short stroll south of Finch subway station, it’s incredibly easy to reach—a definite bonus for transit-goers.

The cafe feels like stepping into a friend's welcoming home. Its multi-room layout offers a mix of intimate tables for two and inviting sofas, perfect for lounging. The ambiance is relaxed and cozy, making it an ideal spot to linger with a warm drink or catch up with a friend in a space that encourages you to take your time.

The menu has a thoughtful range of options, from excellent coffee and tea to delightful snacks like Portuguese tarts and croissant sandwiches. The balance of sweet and savory choices means there’s something for everyone. There is also a small nook of exotic coffees and at home beverage accessories for purchase.

The staff were friendly and attentive, striking the right balance between being helpful and giving you the space to enjoy your visit.

Prices were reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and drinks, as well as the homey atmosphere that invites you to stay a while. For anyone seeking a cozy, non-corporate cafe experience, Space Cafe is a gem. I’ll...

I was in the area after having finished lunch with my family so I decided to head upstairs to Space Coffee and check it out.

You have to go up a long flight of narrow stairs, which was a little troublesome when we were leaving because the people downstairs had to wait their turn to come to since it's a one way only street. When you reach upstairs, you come to a small, quaint, and very home-y cafe, perfect for a sit down and study or catch up with friends. The design and aesthetic is very minimal with unique decor pieces such as flower pillows!

I decided to try out their MATCHA which comes unsweetened and is very milky, making it feel quite heavy. I personally love my matcha strong and sweetened so this wasn't really for me but I'm intrigued to try their other menu items. They also serve up a variety of pastry items, including egg tarts! Beverage prices are average but I found the baked items to be quite pricey.

Bonus: order dine-in for complimentary latte art.

The service was average, nothing to rave or complain about. I do wish they offered more help with the menu though to introduce their recommendations.

The place was very clean and I even saw one of the staff members vacuuming...

A perfect spot for quiet work/study sessions! Space Coffee is a cozy café tucked away on the 2nd floor at Yonge and Finch. It’s spacious, bright, and peaceful — ideal for working on your laptop or reading a book. You’ll often see others doing the same. I highly recommend the Mint Latte. Mint Latte is intense and refreshing, great for a summer pick-me-up. I also enjoyed the Hazelnut Latte, which had a nice balance of nutty sweetness. Other unique drinks include the Lime Coconut Cold Brew, Strawberry Dirty, and Sparkling Apple Americano. There’s plenty of seating, natural light, and even a bookshelf if you feel like unplugging. The atmosphere is warm and quiet, and the view of Yonge Street from the second floor is lovely. Bonus: a pet shop next door makes it a fun dual stop if you have furry friends. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a hidden gem café in North York!
