This service in this place is really really slow, and the location is noticeably understaffed each time I've gone in. The staff also seem to have some kind of a weird attitude that they don't have to work at any speed other than the slowest. This could be because they spend far too much time chit-chatting with their regular and favored customers, and either ignore or are completely oblivious of the lines (i.e. 10+) of people waiting to be served. The service is very substandard for a place like Starbucks, which charges so much money for a simple cup of coffee. The last time I was there there were at least 15 people waiting to be served, one person at the cash taking orders, and the only other staffer in the building appeared to have decided that the best use of her time was to be filling up sugar containers instead of taking care of customers. It's in a not bad location on a very busy street in a difficult mall to get in and out of, but if you're really dying for a cup of coffee it's basically the only choice around. I think a Tim Hortons would be much more appropriate at this location. I agree with some of the other reviewers, I really hate going...

I buy myself a latte, and it is always to go. I do not stay in your establishment and I want to have the nice foamy drink that I know is waaaay overpriced ($5.86) for the reality cost of a few cents.
So where is the value? In not waiting, in smile, in friendly service. Today, I ordered my latte in one of the two locations that I frequent and I've got a coffee with milk poured in it. I looked and asked her where is the foam? She started to argue - that Cappuccino is the one with the foam. I said no. Then the guy who worked there chimed in his two stupid cents 'this is how we do Latte in Canada'. I am Italian, so I do know my lattes, but I have also purchased over 2000 lattes at Starbucks and all were perfectly done - sometimes with the artwork, sometimes without - depending how diligent the person was.
Today was my last day at Starbucks. I will be saving over $2000 per year and not be a recipient of this idiotic BS.
I am disguised with how people can be ignorant. Thank you for opening my eyes, $2000 can be much...
