What a terrible experience. Went with friends and racked up a large bar tab. When we received the bill, we noticed a few extra drinks on our bill. We brought it up with the bartenders, thinking it’s no big deal and they would remove the additional drinks. However, they made it out as thought we were ripping them off and taking food from their children’s mouths. We were guilt shamed and left with a real bad taste in our mouths. Flash forward several months, we decided to return, thinking it was a one off bad experience. To our absolute surprise, the bartender walked over to our table and immediately shamed us and brought up the prior experience. Thinking it was water under the bridge, I calmly apologized in hopes there was no hard feelings over a few overcharged drinks.This did nothing but egg on the server, who then accused me of being drunk, despite having just arrived and not yet been served. Going on, he then stated he wouldn’t open a tab for us and if he “chooses” to serve us, it will be charged per drinks, at the time of ordering… keep in mind, this whole debacle was over maybe $10 in drinks. After being demeaned and made to feel like idiots, we simply got up and went to another bar. In summery while they have alcohol, they lack class and customer service. It is completely not worth the time or the effort. I would give zero stars for the experience if this site...

I have the pleasure of being a repeat patron at this more than welcoming space, where we all feel welcome and comfortable with one another, and that has a lot to do with the bartenders/servers and kitchen staff, as much good conversations with respectful patrons enjoying themselves. There is no welcoming of hate or discrimination in this space (echoing Ann). I will also say for myself, as a former bartender/server, I am not afraid to say that I know who left such a disgusting review, trying to incriminate someone who is nothing but respectful to his patrons, and I have had the pleasure of asking you to leave myself, as you were so terribly rude and disrespectful, ruining everyone single persons time trying to enjoying their time...

Once in a while, you come across a person that is determined to bring down everything and anything good around them to justify their COMPLETE inability to be a decent neighbor/patron/human. Unfortunately, these people are able to leave reviews.

There is one such review that slaughters the good character of one of the best humans in the bar business. The "victim" of discrimination that left a review was rightfully and repeatedly asked to leave the bar for being obnoxious, loud and inappropriate. If you see a review that suggests ANY staff at The Cat Pub descriminates and belittles their guests, please think critically.
