Tagpuan (Kennedy Rd.) — Restaurant in Toronto

I loved this store because I could get my pandesal conveniently. Today, I visited to get pandesal. I noticed that the store's short in staff, with a group of them just chatting. The place doesn't appear busy. Not a big deal, I can wait. Unfortunately, my patience ran dry after waiting 10 minutes for an associate to ring my item.

The moment I was close to leaving the place, is when one of the employees asked if I was just getting pandesal and that she can ring it in. I've mentioned to one of the staff who I understand was busy, and still no one bothered to ring my item.

I understand most of the customers buy more than one item, but to keep a customer waiting for more than reasonable time with one item only, is poor business etiquette/behaviour. It's disappointing, and I'll have to start looking for...

Ordered from Uber Eats.. Victoria branch closes earlier so no choice but to order from here instead. I shouldn’t have.. I’ve ordered thrice already from Kennedy branch and every single time, their food tastes old.. Chicken skin tastes of burnt reused oil.. Balut was dry of its soup and tastes like it has been reheated several times.. Every single dish we ordered tasted like old and low quality turo turo dish.. At least for most turo turo places, they replenish food everyday. I seriously think some of their food has been weeks old. NEVER buy from this place! If you have to buy from tagpuan, buy it from Victoria Road instead.. They taste 100x better..

Please save yourself time and don't even consider this place.

Customer service is not good. You have to wait for your food for at least 10 minutes since they are busy talking to each other.

Place is small and dirty.

We ordered Bicol express, Bistek tagalog, Daingsilog and crispy Baby squid - all with "garlic rice". Bicol express and bistek tagalog was okay - edible. All the baby squid still has the film - as you can see in the photo. The "garlic rice" is made with uncooked rice and a pinch of fried minced garlic. Worst "garlic rice" I've tasted. They also gave free soup that is full of oil.
