I am sad to say that the service and quality at this establishment has gone so far down hill it is an absolute tragedy.
Walked in around 830 long line not a problem at all. Waited for a while finally got my order taken by a visibly upset and grumpy worker. Again what ever not a big deal, not good but not going to ruin my take out experience.
Now here were it all goes wronge, I ordered two chicken shwarma one just lettuce garlic sauce and chicken, one everything NO Tomato, hot sauce and garlic sauce. Then ordered one side of chicken as well as one side of rice- garlic sauce on the side.
Now as a restaurant manager I understand things happen when it busy, so I repeat my order to the THREE different people who are working and ask them to label each package. As we as double check the order.
When I pay I ask for one mango and one guava juice.
Paid and ask for everything to be packed to go in a bag. AGAIN re confirmed my order as well as checked on the screen everything seemed okay.
Got home and no drinks in the bag- turn around the car and go back for the drinks; guys working laugh it off and give me the drinks.
Get home a second time and help my two year old open the take out bowls and it's two side rice NO chicken, again get back into the car and go back. Explain what happened and am met with rude and aggressive argument from the person so took my order. Finally the one who seems to be incharge gives me my already paid for side of chicken.
It is now 945 sit down to eat our now cold wraps and guess what - they are not at all what they were supposed to be. The one with just lettuce, garlic sauce and chicken also has hot pepper and pickled turnip in it as well as hot sauce. Double check on the bag and it says JUST LETTUCE.
The second one -my wrap- is supposed to have everything NO TOMATO, and guess what the person who is has a TOMATO ALLERGY gets a nice big bite of that's right a TOMATO!!!!!!!
I am now covered in hives and EXTREMELY upset at this experience.
I truly hope the owner or manager of this location gets control of his or her staff. This is a serious mistake on the part of the staff at this location and could cost them their business how my reaction been more sever.
I look forward to hearing from you with an explanation and...
Read moreLoved their shawarma, taste is great, service sometimes excellent and efficient and sometimes slow BUT, last month, visited this place, telling my family that they have the best shawarma, guess what , a new employee, certainly not very happy with his job, rude in asking what we want, then rude by putting in stem of iceberg lettuce instead of leaves, loudly and more rudely reacted when I asked him politely not to put it in shawarma, showed more attitude when adding different sauces in different shawarmas......... we were patient, all this time. When we got our shawarmas we sat there and everyone took their shawarmas as they were marked, some of us were so hungry that we finished it without realizing that they were marked wrong. We came to know about this when my daughter constantly complained that her shawarma is indeed too spicy and has no chicken in it yet it was marked as chk without spices, realizing that it was our fault as well that we should have checked it before eating, we decided to buy another one for her and tried to mention it to him nicely that they were marked wrong, thats when things got out of hand. He was yelling and screaming at us as he can NEVER make mistake in his life and we are trying to get free shawaram from him. When we told him with same loudness (I apologize but he wasn't listening , so we had to speak loudly to get his attention and to make him stop screaming at us) that we are buying a new one then, he was quiet without any apology. Rest of the employees were great and very helpful. They were also embarrassed of his rude behavior. I request to owners to teach this Iraqi gentleman that he is in Canada and politeness and respect is the core of this great society. I buy from there because of the taste but if I get same rude attitude again, I will not go...
Read moreWe discovered this place randomly while in the area and what made us want to give it a try was their awesome deal of 2 Shawarma's for $11.50. With taxes it came to $13.00. we got one of each Shawarma wanting to try both the chicken and the beef. Personally I liked the beef better. They put a decent amount of toppings in and the meat was shaved fresh. Few things that made em loose points The staff isn't really friendly. Kinda mean stern and truly just felt a smile goes a long way. Wondering if they were just having a bad day or is this their typical attitude in a customer service line of work. When putting in the sauce the guy used the same spoon for both the red hot sauce as he did for the white sauce, which to me feels like cross-contamination of the sauce. Now the garlic sauce has a hot sauce background to it. It was no need to do that as both sauces had their own spoons. He just didn’t feel like switching them. The place feels a bit rundown and not kept in the best shape. You could tell that it used to be a sit in place at one point, but they no longer allow it. It’s a shame as I feel the restaurant would do so much better they open up their sitting option again. We got too many samosas to try and although the spices inside and potatoes were good, the Samosa wasn’t crunchy enough. They could have left it in the fryer for just a little longer.
overall, not a bad place to eat if you’re on a tight budget and wanna get a quick grab. don’t expect much for...
