The OG of loukoumades in toronto. Cannot go wrong with them
I still remember my mom getting us the honey balls as a kid for a treat. It was so unique to me at the time and just having it again after so long from here was just so awesome
The honey balls were so delicious. So nicely coated in sugar and they also have them with a cocoa powder, I believe. The texture was perfect making you feel like it’s just bursting with honey in each bite
As well, for price compared to other loukoumades places in toronto, this is definitely worth the price. Sometimes, the original is what outweighs the flashy flavours being provided by the other places.
Service was quick and got our order ready in no time at all. They also have a freezer selling frozen offerings of things they have in store.
Will definitely come back to try out the galaktoboureko
Great job overall!

Read moreMy mom went into Athens Bakery this morning at 9am, and there were workers behind the counter, one younger female and one older one. My mom asked if there was any loukoumades and the younger lady answered her and my mom asked her to repeat what she said, and the older lady shouted at her twice (with her back turned WHILE walking away): “TEN O”CLOCK”. This is just a small example of the extremely terrible and disrespectful service that I have always been provided with at this establishment. I have lived in this neighbourhood for a long time, and it is KNOWN among a number of people that the service and attitude has been unacceptable. It’s a pity because the desert tastes great, but I often find myself avoiding this place purely because I am greeted with...
Read moreThis place has great coffee and treats. I was a bit disappointed during my recent visit though when I took in my own reusable mug. The barista refused to fill up my cup instead she used a disposable cup to pour the coffee and then gave it to me to pour it into my cup. She said that the manager had instructed staff not to take any personal cups from customers. Kinda beat my purpose of being environmentally friendly. That disposal cup went right into the trash. She could have used one of the ceramic mugs to pour me the coffee if the wasn't allowed to touch mine. I get that they are being mindful of hygiene but if Starbucks does not, why can't they? Its not like the cup is...
