Worse experience in restaurant history for me We called for a reservation at 8:30 we got there at 8:27 and weren’t seated until 8:50 which is fine when we walked in, we can see a table was free and then it looked like they just started cleaning up right when we arrived, but took their precious time, which is fine and understandable when we were seated, we weren’t asked if we wanted anything to drink and honestly, they just gave us our menus and didn’t come back for the next 20 minutes our server was so disrespectful and disgustingly rude. He didn’t really care to explain the packages in the menu which is understandable but I feel like as a server you should explain some thing if we’re asking and we didn’t get that. Which is odd we got the 2 pounds of muscle and shrimp with the two sides and then we asked for two exercise sides on top of it and order of calamari The package already comes with rice and I guess fried shrimp. What we only receive was the rice, the fried shrimp and our muscles and shrimp. We did not receive none of the sides that we asked for and we did not receive a bucket for our waist and we did not receive the calamari Me not knowing that the sides come in with the seafood in the bag I thought they were just on the side so we were waiting and we never received it so we just started eating. We were hungry and at that point we’ve been waiting for 30 minutes. We did not receive our calamari and we weren’t ever questioned about it even about our sides. We asked one of the waiters and she implied that the sides were supposed to come in the seafood bag we asked for the sides and the the calamari waited another 10 minutes after we still didn’t receive anything I can see our server talking amongst the other servers and giving me and my friend dirty looks My friend kindly asked for some water and the server gave her hot water, and when my friend turned around to look at the server, to try to question him about the hot water he just stared right back at her like he purposely did that purposely gave my friend hot water at that point. We just wanted the bill and we told them we didn’t want the sides sadly we still got charged for the sides because it was in the package so then we just asked for the sides that were included and thankfully we didn’t have to pay for the calamari since we never got it that server gave me anxiety and made me feel like I wasn’t supposed to be there. He gave me my friend attitude and he rolled his eyes constantly when serving us but I can hear he’s constantly asking other tables if they are doing ok and never came to us once asking if we needed anything or if we’re doing ok when he came with our bags of shrimps and muscles he dash the bag of food on the table, and we never said anything about it. I’ve never been disrespected in a restaurant like this before ever in my life I would expect this type of service at a bigger restaurant there was only a couple of tables and the restaurant wasn’t even that packed honestly it wasn’t packed at all our table was free from the beginning and they made us wait 10 minutes for fun. This place is disgusting. The only good thing about it is their food and that is barely if you want horrible service and attitude with your food then yeah come here. if you want a sassy man serving you food and rolling his eyes at you then sure eat here but the manager that runs this place should be a shame of their self the server that gave me anxiety and was disrespectful and rude. Purposely giving someone HOT WATER IS EVIL his face will be on the last picture. Sorry for the long review reading. It must’ve been torture reading this but eating in this place called a restaurant...

I don’t normally do this but I believe I need to let everyone know about my experience. This location closes at 12 A.M on Fridays. We were in the area and felt hungry and decided to stop by. Before going to the restaurant I called to find out what time is the dine in cut off time, I was told 11 pm. We arrived at the restaurant at 10:40 pm and we were greeted by Tony (Asian) who’s first words to me were “did you book a reservation” I said no, but I called before coming here and they told me the dining cut off time was 11pm, he had a certain demeanour as if we did not belong there. He then pointed to a table basically letting me know I could sit there. He then walked to the counter and I could hear him mumbling to the other server about us. I could tell that he was upset that I showed up at the restaurant to dine in at 10:40 pm. The other server came over and took the order, he was polite, kind and continuously checked on us. TONY checked on every other client in the restaurant except us. He asked everyone else if they were fine and if they needed anything and he totally ignored the members at our table. Captains boil is our regular Friday night spot but this was our first time trying this location and the experience was horrible! Only because Tony was rude and felt the need to let paying customers feel like we had no business in the restaurant.

Thank you to the chef for a delicious meal and the other server which was really nice to us. You guys deserve everything. As for TONY! Please work on your customer service skills. You need...

My husband and I came into Toronto for his birthday and decided to try out this establishment as I’d heard good things about it in the past.

The restaurant was dirty which was the first red flag. Tables were preset, but still dirty from the previous customers. The washroom was filthy and smelled of mold. I was reluctant to eat there but since we had already paid $30 for parking we decided to stay. I asked for the captains boil sauce which was suppose to be no spice at all however, it was spicy. The sauce was gritty and chalky because far too much seasoning was used. I ordered regular shrimp and I received shrimp with the heads on and my boiled eggs were ice cold. The last straw was the rubbery lobster this made me very nervous about the freshness and length of time the seafood was cooked. Based on how quickly the food came to our table it was obvious that the seafood had been pre boiled, seasoning was thrown into the bag and it was dipped in boiling water. I requested the meal be taken back as I was not going to eat it. The server was visibly upset and when he brought the bill he said he just took the lobster off I explained that I was not going to eat the meal and expressed my concerns with it. He ended up removing my meal after some back and forth. My husband ate what he could but he was not impressed. We certainly won’t be going back and I suggest going to a proper seafood restaurant...

Maybe it's just me. The good: - Friendly staff. Really friendly. - The Shrimp Fried Rice - They do have a small Kid's Meal section on the menu The bad: - Seafood was meh... Given that it's "market price", I'd expect something with a bit more flavour. - Sauce was really thick - way too much - to the point that it overtakes the taste of the 'smaller' seafood (shrimp, mussels, clams). Because it's served in a plastic bag, the bits at the bottom are pretty much just soaking in sauce. Literally, cooked whole shrimp dumped in a bag and a ladle full of sauce. - Serving food in a plastic bag feels both gimmicky and rather lazy. Something I'd expect at a lower price point. - Serving shrimp that's whole, still with legs and a head (unless you pay more for heads removed) also feels rather lazy. - Other than the sauce, this doesn't feel much different than buying it yourself at seafood store or market and just preparing the food yourself at home. Even then, the sauce wasn't that special, but that could be me. - We asked for a lobster fork - they didn't have any. - The bottom of the stairs going to the washrooms had a bunch of flies flying around for some reason. - A kids menu is thoughtful, but all the sinks for washing your hands are too high for infants and there are no footstools. It's a small but important detail. - Overall, the price did not reflect the experience whatsoever.

What an absolute thrill it was to dine at your restaurant and discover the hidden talent of your establishment in conjuring wine out of thin air. I must admit, when I ordered two glasses of wine, I was blissfully unaware that I was participating in a ‘Buy 2, Get 1 Invisible Glass’ special offer. It's truly remarkable and speaks volumes about the innovative ways your restaurant enhances customer experience. I must extend my deepest gratitude for introducing me to this novel concept of ghostly libations. It’s not every day one gets billed for phantom drinks; I'll cherish this bewildering experience forever. However, I find myself a tad traditional, yearning for the quaint old days when I was charged solely for items I could actually taste. In light of this revolutionary dining experience, I kindly request a slight adjustment to my bill to reflect the tangible, rather than the spectral. It would be a shame if future patrons missed out on this unique feature due to mere mortal constraints like visibility or existence. Thank you for an unforgettable evening of gastronomic and arithmetic wonders.

I ordered delivery from here today and it was a complete joke. I ordered a Mix and Match of shrimps and mussels with Corn and Okra(extra charge). The portion was shockingly small, that I counted how many proteins there were. There were 7 shrimps and 5 mussels, and gigantic amount of okra and 1 corn. I have ordered Captain’s Boil a lot, and know that it comes in a lot of proteins in each bag, that often times, it would take me few meals to finish. I didn’t pay $30+ for 12 simple proteins that’s barely filling. It was as if they decided to replace the proteins with okras, which I wanted as a small side like 1 corn. Hugely disappointing and I wouldn’t return to this store.
