Mehfill Indian Cuisine — Restaurant in Toronto

When we showed up to the restaurant with me and three of my friends, it took us 20 minutes to be seated. When we ordered the first dish, which was the butter chicken Poutine it tasted sweet. It tasted off, and there was barely any cheese curds at all. once we got our main dish, it was given to us in the wrong order. The right dishes weren’t placed front of us and the whole time the waiters are being arrogant and frankly rude to us as we were trying to enjoy our food. When I brought up the issue with my butter, chicken being sweet and not spicy, I was told that my opinion was basically wrong because butter chicken is supposed to taste sweet even though I asked it to be spicy. when we got the bill, they messed up to the bills for both of my friends and when we asked them to split butter, chicken poutine they added again to a separate bill and then when we asked for our Initial receipts because my Frend, even though we ordered the same exact thing was charged a lot more than I was and when we were asking for the original bills, it took them 10 minutes to go and get them. When I also ordered Stella from them they did not do a normal pour they poured it halfway, and the rest was the head of the beer. it was a terrible experience. The food was bad. The place is very conveniently located. Very few indian restaurants options around. Cozy place with nice interior and looks new. Bar has nice collection and selection. But the beer TAP is not working . Such a nice place is still using paper menu card. Saturdays, the place is crowded and noisy. The staff is humble and helpful but looked overwhelmed. Service is super slow, We got our appetizers after 45 mins and the dinner was served after an hour and 15 mins after we ordered. The dining room was full of mild kitchen smoke and my eyes started irritating , so I walked out couple times to take fresh air. Food was very disappointing. We ordered couple non veg and couple veg appetizers. All appetizers had same sweet base but the content was different . Rashmi kabobs were really good but bit dry. For dinner we ordered some Non veg and some Veg dishes, and we requested for nice indian spicy. Unfortunately all came on our table with same curry base with veg and chicken (non spicy , Infact bit sweet) One more thing I noticed that the place is expensive for the quantity they offer. Was so happy when I saw that this place opened in our neighborhood and was sorely disappointed after visiting. We went with our toddler, and ordered an aloo paratha, lollipop chicken, paneer tikka, and chaat. We waited for over 45 minutes for the food to come - and ended up having to walk out because they only brought out the chaat and the chicken. We had specifically asked for the chicken to be mild so that our toddler could eat it and the waitress reassured us it would be - when it came out it was spicy hot (and we’re south Asian - it was properly spiced like a kid could not eat it). Note: there were only 2 other people in the resto. When I asked the waitress why it is taking so long she told me the tandoor oven is full of Uber eats orders - basically saying they are prioritizing delivery over their in house guests. (If you want to prioritize Uber eats orders, just become a ghost kitchen). Our poor baby was starving, we ended up having to go across the street to get a smoothie from Revatilize (highly recommend that place btw).
