I recently had the pleasure of ordering fthe Grand Opening Special, rom Cosmic Pizza & Donair on Yonge St. in Toronto, and I must say, it was an out-of-this-world customer service experience! From the moment the phone was answered, Ahtisham was friendly and inviting, creating an irresistible atmosphere. He is an excellent communicator and a real asset to his Family-run business. He took the time to reviewed and recommend items from the menu, and excellent choice of crust: thin, regular, Gluten Free, Cauliflower, and Halal meat. I will make sure to compare them all and find my favourite. He added to make sure to try the Donair on my next order.
The Classic and Brooklyn pizzas I ordered were nothing short of spectacular. The Classic, with its perfect balance of cheese, sauce, and toppings, showcased the culinary expertise of the Chef that sets Cosmic Pizza & Donair apart. Each bite was a harmonious symphony of flavours, leaving me and my friend craving more.
The Brooklyn pizza, on the other hand, was a delightful surprise. The unique combination of toppings created a taste sensation that was both bold, satisfying and surprisingly light. The crust was just the right amount of crispy, providing the perfect foundation for the explosion of flavors.
The attention to detail in the preparation and presentation was evident, and it's clear that the Chef at Cosmic Pizza & Donair takes great pride in his craft. "Compliments to the Chef!"
Ahtisham's friendliness and attentiveness added to the overall positive experience, making me feel like a valued customer.

In conclusion, Cosmic Pizza & Donair on Yonge St. has earned its stellar reputation since its recent Launch, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a culinary adventure. The Classic and Brooklyn pizzas have secured a special place in our hearts (and stomach), and I look forward to returning to explore more of the menu.

Read moreIn my search for a new donair place after my favourite closed down (Halifax Donair, Milton), I decided to try Cosmic on Yonge. I got a large Classic Halifax Donair.
Short review: There's potential here. Good meat and lots of it. Lady behind the cash was friendly.
Detailed review: There are a few donair options, which are interesting. A naked donair is (which they call 'in a box') is interesting if you don't want the pita. They also have chicken instead of beef, and a mixed donair. Ordering, you have options on what to add. The usual stuff (Tomatoes, Onions, Sauce) are there, but Lettuce seems to come by default, which is offensive. There are other, even more offensive options, like Black Olives. Being a purist, I got the big three of tomatoes, onions, and sauce. The staff even asked if I wanted extra sauce, which I couldn't turn down. She even panini-pressed the donair at the end, which I guess was fine though I had reservations. Upon unwrapping, I found a decent donair. For a large it was not that large, more medium. One thing stood out - LOTS of meat. I didn't think I would ever say this, but maybe too much meat. There were barely any tomatoes or onions. It was basically a meat log. The meat though? Quite good. Juicy, flavourful, spiced nicely, and hot (thermally), which was much appreciated. And the big question: How was the sauce? I'm not sure. Even though there was extra, I couldn't taste it. It wasn't thick enough to coat the meat, or there was not nearly enough. I want to have sauce all over my face and risk ruined clothing when I eat a donair. The donair should be dripping. If I go again, I will ask them to drench it. At the bottom of my wrap, where the juice lives, I managed to get a little taste and can say the sauce was ok but needs to be just a bit sweeter. It could vary batch-to-batch. So in the end, with a few tweaks, the donair at Cosmic could be great, but it's not there yet. You will get a lot of meat but its donair-ness...
Read moreOrdered the Donair & Chicken Shawarma pizzas from their website using Grand Opening special deal. Delivery fee was $5. I ordered in advance and it arrived a few minutes before the set time. Owner came and delivered it himself to make sure it arrived on time, he was really nice!
Pizza was sooooo good. Cheese all the way up and covering the crust. Thick layer of cheese. Lots of meat under the cheese. And flavourful, love the sauces. I am a big fan of sweet pizza - my all time favourite is General Tao Chicken from Martino's - but I think these guys may have them beat. And I'm within delivery range!
It's been two years since I had Pizza Shab, another halal Canadian chain, so I can't truly compare, but I don't like the pie offerings there, or the price for value, or the taste, and I've only ordered from them the once, that's how little I liked it. I do however order from Conspiracy on occasion, because they also have a Donair pizza, and I liked this one better. Cosmic has better hours and you get more for your money. However, the execution is so different, they're not really comparable. So try both and make your own decision.
In sum, Cosmic rocking the thick doughy "traditional" chain-like pizza style, beating out everyone in the area I can think of (Pizza Hut/Domino's/Pizzaiolo/Pizza Pizza/Panago/Freshslice/etc) and not skimping on toppings (side eyeing you Pi Co). This is definitely not fancy pizza, so don't pit it against Blondie's or Maker as the "best", but it's best for what I like. So run, don't walk.
Sidenote: I'm comparing to chains because this is also a chain, although this is their first location out east. They're primarily in Alberta and I feel very lucky they've landed so...
