I had the lunch special (I chose the Jerk Chivken with steamed vegitables - it was my first time there. and I came in with a smile and wanted to be engaging and friendly. I work around the corner and the luch special looked like a good deal.
The woman who served me had a really odd demeanor; seemed passive agressive for no apparent reason.
She took my order and made a chore out of serving me. When she asked if I wanted steamed vegetables, she gave me a weird look as though she was doing me a favor (and as if doing so was a labourous thing to do...).
When she was about to close the container I politely asked if she could pour a bit of gravy on the rice.
She seemed uoset by that and told me that she already did. I knew that she didn't, but chose not to challenge her on it. Somehow that upset her to and felt the need to repeat herself, saying that she did.
When I got back into my office on danforth, I lifted the chicken an veggies and, as I expected, the rice was bone dry... Jerk Chicken was fine, veggies were fine. The beef patty I bought as an act of good will was pretty lousy.
I will not be visiting this restaurant again.
Sad to see a Caribbean restaurant carry on business this way. Feeds a stereotype. But that's...
Read moreThe lady that works here , her attitude stinks. Can’t even greet people when they come in and has such a stank face on all the time. She charged me for the wrong items and when I told her she kissed her teeth and acted like she was annoyed. Veryy Unprofessional. Like lady keep your problems at home. People come and support your business no need to be so flipping rude. The food isn’t even that great. Keep up ur attitude and u will soon have no customers. I don’t know why black owned business think they can just be so rude to people.
And the food is expensive when it’s not even good. The coleslaw is sooo bad, save your hard earned money and spend it on other Caribbean restaurants where the people who serve you are actually nice. No body wants to spend there money and support a business whose so disrespectful, This is not...
