Absolute 5/5. This is the best Jamaican food I have ever eaten in my 27 years of existence. The epitome of fall off the bone. The curry goat is TO DIE FOR. I ordered it 2 days ago and again today. My sister got stew beef and stew chicken, and even though she liked the beef better, the chicken was still on point. Mom had ox tail and again, fall off the bone and delicious. Coleslaw is probably some of the best I've had. A tiny bit sweet but mostly sour and definitely vinegar based, no mayo. Absolutely delicious and none of us have any complaints. :) Picture is of my curry goat meal from today(small).

Had the large jerk chicken. Jerk chicken was ok… tasted day old, but wasn’t dry. Slight heat, but more so coming from the gravy and not the chicken. Different variety of chicken was a bit odd… boneless thigh, bone-in thigh. Coleslaw wasn’t for me, I like the sweet kind that blends well to cut the heat of the jerk. Good portions. $18 is a bit pricey, should be $15 If I was driving by and needed a quick meal, I would buy it again, and they do have a lunch special. But I probably wouldn’t recommend it to a friend.

My stomach might never forgive me. I ordered the jerk chicken thinking let's lead off with their best dish.. jerk! What I got tasted BOILED and definitely not any kind of jerk a self respecting Caribbean person would put out to patrons

I had the lunch special (I chose the Jerk Chivken with steamed vegitables - it was my first time there. and I came in with a smile and wanted to be engaging and friendly. I work around the corner and the luch special looked like a good deal.

The woman who served me had a really odd demeanor; seemed passive agressive for no apparent reason.

She took my order and made a chore out of serving me. When she asked if I wanted steamed vegetables, she gave me a weird look as though she was doing me a favor (and as if doing so was a labourous thing to do...).

When she was about to close the container I politely asked if she could pour a bit of gravy on the rice.

She seemed uoset by that and told me that she already did. I knew that she didn't, but chose not to challenge her on it. Somehow that upset her to and felt the need to repeat herself, saying that she did.

When I got back into my office on danforth, I lifted the chicken an veggies and, as I expected, the rice was bone dry... Jerk Chicken was fine, veggies were fine. The beef patty I bought as an act of good will was pretty lousy.

I will not be visiting this restaurant again.

Sad to see a Caribbean restaurant carry on business this way. Feeds a stereotype. But that's...

The lady that works here , her attitude stinks. Can’t even greet people when they come in and has such a stank face on all the time. She charged me for the wrong items and when I told her she kissed her teeth and acted like she was annoyed. Veryy Unprofessional. Like lady keep your problems at home. People come and support your business no need to be so flipping rude. The food isn’t even that great. Keep up ur attitude and u will soon have no customers. I don’t know why black owned business think they can just be so rude to people.

And the food is expensive when it’s not even good. The coleslaw is sooo bad, save your hard earned money and spend it on other Caribbean restaurants where the people who serve you are actually nice. No body wants to spend there money and support a business whose so disrespectful, This is not...

UPDATE (Mar 8/24) - what happened to the chicken roti??? my Uber Eats delivery was sadly not a great experience: the roti itself was fine but the chicken curry was impossibly bland — i was honestly shocked. i hope my order was just a random bottom-of-the-pot, end-of-the-day weirdness but i miss the old great roti this place usually produces! the peoples have spoken! with mouths on fire and bellies full of yummy Caribbean flavours. ordered the goat roti for take out and it was simply spectacular: perfectly seasoned and spiced (if you are not accustomed to spicy foods, suggest asking if they can prep a 'mild' but not sure if what i had was mild as my lips are still tingling ;) this was perfect for a deep freeze kinda day in the city. will def order...
